We had the take away sharer box which was really tasty. Everything was upto the usual great standards.

Disappointed with the standard of food, roast dinner was dry with small portion only 2 roast potato's and a slice of meat, puddings were fine but nothing special. Soft drinks poured from bottles was warm & flat. Staff were lovely though and very attentive venue was clean.

Lovely meal for ten. We were on a square table that allowed for good conversation across all elements of the party. We all had three courses of good food, which to be honest was too much. Mushroom starter was excellent. Steak and mushroom pie appeared to be from a pot with random flake pastry on top, not a pie. Hand cut chips were slightly undercooked in the middle but overcooked on the outside. Dessert was excellent. Good alone 3/5 but relaxed atmosphere worthy of extra star.

Beautiful setting next to the river. Would be lovely to sit outside in warmer weather however I visited in a chilly March afternoon. Not sure if they do a pensioner surcharge offer on a Wednesday but there was certainly an awful lot of pensioners dining. The seating opposite the bar wasn't very comfortable and I felt like I was sitting in a walkway.
I was disappointed that they didn't stock any Welsh gin but delighted that the barman recommended a Welsh whisky made at aber falls (famous for its gin!). I savoured the whisky and made a mental note to return in better weather and sit outside next to the river.

Came upon this little gem of a place while out around the countryside. Staff very welcoming as soon as we walked in. Didn't need to book and was given a nice corner booth to sit in. Love the decor of this place, lots of wood and very warm and cosy. Open beams and an amazing show of the mill parts inside. Menu was lovely and some great choice. I had the curry with chips and rice and it was so very tasty. Nice classic fudge cake and ice cream for pudding. The food was served super quick and was nice and hot. Can't knock the staff they were fun and very accommodating. Can't wait to visit here again. Will be lovely to come in the summer as they have some great outside seating and the sound of the river was lovely too.
