The Butchers Block

My first of now many visits, two lads in shop couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Shop was clean and tidy and the meat was amazing. Special pack deals they have are very cost effective. Looking forward to my next visit

Went there for the first time today. Explained that I wanted a nice bit of beef. I bought a topside which I must say was melt in the mouth. Very good value and a very knowledgeable butcher who could not do enough for u. Will definitely be buying again very soon

I went in today with my son of three, spoke to the butcher and my son was quite excitable as always and showed interest in some hanging meat, the man said you know what that is ‘bambi’ I said don’t tell him that - he doesn’t know who that is anyway - so instead he came out to us and said ‘I bet you know who Shaun the sheep is ?’ I said don’t tell him things like that. My son loves black pudding which I mentioned earlier my son then said he didn’t like meat anymore to which he replied well you like animal blood. Not sure why I would ever return to this place - there’s banter and jokes which I understand (I use another local butcher who my son loves who pretends to throw eggs with him) but this was unsuitable for a child and left disgusted at the butchers behaviour.

Best butchers in town. Always friendly and reasonable prices.

I live locally & today had my 2nd visit to The Butcher Block.
The meats are excellent quality & when cooked, definitely tasty & the chicken melts in the mouth! lol
Today I bought some mince as well as chicken & I'm looking forward to making tasty meals with the mince.
If you haven't already, The Butcher's Block is definitely worth a regular shopping trip for quality meats rather than the supermarket & the guys in there are friendly & entertaining! lol

Excellent location on Billing Garden center site. Meat is absolutely fabulous. Much of it locally sourced. Compare any cut from here against Supermarket stuff and the difference is evident.

Excellent quality produce, this has become a regular place for us to go to especially for the sausages......first class.
Staff always friendly and chatty.
