The best reviews are the critical ones.

Let's start with the negative. It's quite expensive here. For the price paid, we would have expected the ciabattas to have come with a side salad, at least to help with presentation and first impressions. The pastel de natas were served cold, my wife said I could have asked for them to be heated but an offer from staff would have been good.

The positives. The coffee was amazing. The flavours in our ciabattas was excellent. The staff were attentive but not too much. Being located at the back of the store, it's far more relaxed than any of the eateries in the main concourse.

With those negatives addressed, this place would be a clear 5 star. We definitely left feeling we would return.

Stopped for a cup of tea and cake Saturday early evening. Nice quiet spot in John Lewis.

Lovely little Cafe! Steph and Lucy were so welcoming and it's nice to go to a place where the staff are really friendly. We only had a tea and coffee here but will definitely be back again for lunch. See you soon!

Generally great place. But coffee today was poor. I ordered a cappuccino but got a large white coffee with a token bit of froth on top.

Lady who runs this cafe and slipped me some extra gherkins is absolutely brilliant. Food was terrific.

Always enjoy visiting, service very good and atmosphere very relaxing. Recently introduced the ‘rule’ that you should not take a seat until you have purchased your food/drinks. No issue with this, however when not enforced it causes more frustration. I visit at least 4 times a month and the new system is not working.

Food is always hot and of the highest quality. It does get bit busy but normally you can find seats fairly quickly. A lovely place to chill out for a while.

I have returned to this little find as the customer service here is absolutely top notch! A little, stylish cafe tucked away in John Lewis, away from the busy thoroughfare of the main centre where you can get an array of bites to eat, cake and pastries, coffee tea or even and alcoholic beverage. It’s fab! Steph the manager is wonderful and all staff are polite and happy. Lovely place.
