A great deli and tea room with the best coffee in town. Smart casual style with lovely menu and good service. Great corner location for sitting in the window to chat and watch the world go by. Also a nice range of chocolate and alcoholic drinks to purchase as gifts or a treat. Lovely quiches and cakes.

Great Deli just at the bottom of the main high street in Ashby. The staff are great, friendly and very considerate. They have a good range of food and drinks and there’s always a nice buzz about the place.

One unique thing that many may not know is that you can buy whole cakes from them and they have a fantastic range. You’ll never buy a birthday cake from Sainsbury’s again.

The square strawberry, cream sponge cake is one of the best cakes I’ve eaten and it’s very moreish. Ranging in price from around £11 up to £20, they are really great value for money as they taste amazing.

This is their chocolate torte and the pics speak for themselves. The other photos show the list that is available, order in advance and they take about 4 days.

The price of two take-away sandwiches were nearly £14. Happy to pay this in the deli when it's accompanied with a nice salad and coleslaw but takeaway shouldn't be charged at the same price as you're not using the services and you're not getting the side salad, crisps, coleslaw etc. Also cold takeaway food like a sandwich is zero-rated for VAT so customers should save that as a minimum.

The quality of the food is excellent but take-away pricing needs to be adjusted. I did query this with the lady at the point of ordering and she simply said that everything has gone up. I wrongly assumed at the point of ordering that take-away prices would be cheaper and only found out when I returned to collect and pay.

Disappointing food at Norths today. Usually it’s excellent, but we have seen a drop in quality over the last few months. Our dissatisfaction came about because the bread was not as fresh as it’s always been previously. The cheese on the piccalilli line sandwich had grated cheese whereas we expected slices. The avocado and bacon was also disappointing as the bread was crumbly and the avocado was a bit of a mush. We hoped for better, as we are regular customers and may have to find alternatives in Ashby

Disappointing visit to North's where we turned up at 3:30 to be told there were no more hot drinks available because they were closing at 4. They served us when we said we'd be quick! Tea for two was 2 1/2 small cups which we paid a fiver for. Overall not a very welcoming feeling!

Couldn't give you zero. We recently went into norths after rushing to get back to ashby for a drink.only to be refused service at 325 closing time is 4 oclock because they had very busy and were about fo switch the coffee machine also the kitchen had closed. This is not the first time in the last year or so this has happened. I know several other people this had happened too. I know the owners quite well and have been a very regular customer ever since it opened. And a good advocate for your business. Very disappointed that such a good business is being poorly run.
