Staff are cheerful and attentive.
We sat outside in the tranquil courtyard, lovely staff, really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Despite it being 30°+ not flustered at all. Made for a very relaxing lunch.
We both had the quiche salad with new potatoes and salad. The raspberry presse drink is lush. We both had the clotted cream cheesecake, amazing, made fresh, bliss. The best cheesecake I've ever had!
Will definitely revisit, so glad we fount it.
Healthy criticism, i wasnt asked how i like my eggs so maybe worth remembering if you have a strong preference and maybe a option to purchase a larger portion.
This by no means changes the 5 star rating it would not change the review.
I have a brain injury so friendly welcoming service is really important to me as i can become confused very easily. I had no such experience here which is a welcome surprise.
If you dont like the in and out feel of a Costa this is a good traditional cafe doing it how it should be done.
Thank you.
Went out of their way to serve you kindly and give you what you want.
Nothing is too much trouble
It's an okay cafe with an outside seating area (shame the chairs were uncomfortable). Staff were friendly but slow. The toasted sandwiches were nice.
Also the lemon and white choc cheesecake was lovely. Unfortunately, the lemon meringue pie was a huge let down. Such a shame.
I tried going a second time as I thought it might be a better experience. Unfortunately, the cakes displayed were of a poor selection. No Victoria sponge, carrot cake or coffee and walnut and none of the nice cheesecake like last time. So we decided to leave.
Also, it was quite busy inside and a customer was unfortunately seated about half a meter from the door, facing the entering customers, while eating a full lunch. Which was a bit uncomfortable.
Photo shows a desert they adapted specially so that she could have one.
