Working locally and decided in a spot of breakfast. Found this place just down the high Street. A nice feel. Old school cafe. Clean and tidy. Lots of choice on the menu. Ordered the set breakfast 1. Food was cooked fresh. Arrived after about 10 mins. Food was hot and very tasty. Proper ingredients used.. not cheap stuff. The staff there are a credit to the cafe. Very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going again and would recommend. Thanks guys.

I'm a little bit biased as this is my local café.

This is a traditional "builders" café, it's not trying to be anything else which is why I like it. Don't get me wrong, it's not dirty or anything it's just not pretentious: it's some chairs and tables, ketchup in the red squeezey bottles, sugar in the portion tipper style bottles, moderate portion sizes, standard café style menu and average prices - pretty much 4 stars.

So why am I rating it 5 stars? The same reason any establishment would get 5 stars - the staff: the staff here are really friendly nice people and it reflects in the atmosphere - you are greeted with a smile and some friendly banter, the food is cooked and served quickly and to a great standard, they are always attentive to see if you might need anything else, plates are cleared away quickly... the whole experience has a real family feel to it and as soon as you walk through the door you are part of that family. Also the staff never stop working! The place is always being cleaned - it's pretty much spotless!

All I can really say to summarise is go and get yourself a munch here, it's worth it. 🙂

Like Arnie - I'll be back! 🍽️☕🍳😋

This is a clean and tidy, fixed seating cafe frequented mainly by tradesmen during the weekday mornings. The food is excelkent, standard cafe fare. The coffee is very good. The owner is quite friendly.

I love this family run café. Excellent friendly service, superb quality food, and possibly the best quality cuppa (teabag) tea in the area.
Very clean hygienic surroundings, all on the level (no steps or stairs), with a disabled facility toilet. When I visit the area, I will always make this a port of call.
Great shops along the Broadway as well. Plenty of free, 1hr & 2 hr parking. What more could you want.
Many thanks

Visited this cafe on 2/12/21 & just sat in with a friend for a latte. These were good, so thought I would return to try their food. Visited on 4/12/21 and ordered a Chilli con Carne from a very indifferent girl at the counter. I sat down and minutes after, my latte was brought to the table, followed 8 minutes or so afterwards by the same girl, almost throwing the half filled plate in front of me without so much as a murmur, smile or anything, let alone, “Can I get you anything else?”

I have to say, this was the worst offering of a Chilli con Carne I’ve ever had. There was not very much of it; a very small portion. The rice was damp and claggy, not light & fluffy; clearly some of that cheap ‘boil in the bag’ in a microwave in two minutes stuff. Yuck! I ate it as I was hungry, but this place will certainly win no awards in my book. I would avoid in future & wouldn’t recommend in any way. Customer satisfaction & care is sadly lacking. A poor show. Pay your money to a better more grateful establishment. Avoid.

Negatives...

• The presentation was not appetising and dry.
• the fried toast was too oily
• as a customer I should have the right to REMOVE certain items as in the tomato’s. I didn’t eat them.

Positives...
• I loved the egg
• I enjoyed both the sausages and bacon, even though the bacon was a bit too hard.

Conclusion, your food is WAY TOO expensive for the presentation and items purchased.

I WILL NOT be using my bank card to associate with you ever again, as a person that values their breakfast you as a cafe ruined my morning. Shame.
