Love this place. Not a massive menu but a varied and interesting range. The mushroom lasagne is wonderful served with an excellent salad (or garlic bread as an alternative). Can heartily recommend as we've used the cafe for coffee as well as meals for some time and have never been disappointed.

Beautiful spot- was able to watch the peregrines at the Cathedral from our lunch table! Service was efficient and friendly and food was delicious.

Cons:
-hair in my quiche (I discreetly told the manager and he just shrugged his shoulders)

-service took AGES and was generally poor (not enough cutlery, no check that we were happy, etc)

-most of the menu unavailable, but nobody made us aware of this when giving the one menu to our group of 10 to share, which slowed us down further

-over-priced

Pros:
-the setting is lovely with views of the cathedral

-the food we did eventually get wasn’t too bad for what it was

I Went here today with the wife ,we was unsure because of the length of time we was told we would have to wait ,but it was well worth the wait ,fantastic food ,friendly service and a great location. Healthy options too.

Beautiful setting, delicious and unusual food. My figs, mozzarella and parma ham with balsamic vinegar dressing were perfect for a light lunch. My partner very much enjoyed the salmon, avocado, cress and pickled cabbage on ciabata. Nice glass of Sauvignon to accompany them. Well worth the walk from town. Would rather keep it secret! 😉

On another day this could easily be a 4/5 star cafe. Sadly for us the service was terrible. We ordered lunch and we’re told it was a 30 minute wait. 50 minutes later our food arrived. The bread of my sandwich was dry indicating it was stale or had been left out. When asked if the food was ok I raised it with the waitress who said she’d speak to her boss and see what could be done. We waited 10 minutes, finished our drinks and no one came back to us. We left disappointed. We weren’t the only ones that day as we had a conversation with a couple on the table next to us who were also feeling let down by the service.
