Foods and drinks are good and served in big portion. I was enjoyed with those tasty dishes with smiling staff.

Although my cake was delicious, the service was painfully slow and the environment was unwelcoming and almost unpleasant. You had to queue in the rain before being allowed into the cafe. In my case that took 15 minutes. Then the cafe door was left permanently open on one of the coldest days of the year. There was no heating. No take away service so you were obliged to go through this experience if you wanted a drink or sit-down after enjoying the wider Watts offering.

We had a lovely Welsh Rarebit for lunch and I requested a slice of cheese and onion quiche to take away. Both were wonderful and it was nice they provided a salad and coleslaw with the takeaway quiche. Friendly staff too.

Disappointing tea shop in such a wonderful environment. Staff are bordering on rude, and always extremely slow. Arrived at 950 on a Sunday to be told “You do realize we only open in 10 minutes “ . What would be wrong with a smile and “ We only open in 10 but would you like to take a seat in the meantime?” Clearly not owner run as we drove the 10 minutes to Natter rather than put up with what is not great coffee, always slow service, and absolutely no atmosphere. The food is reasonable, and the Welsh rarebit is tasty, but the overall experience is ruined by indifferent staff. The tea shop at Watts lets down an otherwise incredible creative place where we love to take visitors. Please someone fix this local eatery. You have a captive market and a perfect location.

Highly recommend The Tea Shop. Plenty of parking and perfectly situated either at the start or end of a lovely walk in the Surrey hills.

The Rarebit special is definitely worth it. Their food and drinks are good and once ordered, arrived reasonably swiftly. Actually placing the order took a while (table ordering), to the point where I was going to leave and go somewhere else. The staff taking orders didn't seem to be busy and I noticed that only a few of the people in the cafe had food in front of them. The cafe started to get busy around 12 with people queuing for tables. Towards the end of our meal, we were (courteously) asked to move to a smaller table by one of the serving staff for a large party arriving. I can't help thinking that during busy times, with no ability to reserve, you could be waiting a while to sit down.

Lovely food and lovely staff. Food was a bit delayed due to then being so busy but they apologised in advance and offered complementary cake to make it up. Well be back.
