We were searching for somewhere to have a lunchtime snack in Ballock today and found this great value cafe and ice cream parlour. Lovely owner and staff. Recommend the empire biscuits.

The staff where very friendly and efficient. We had a drink and the Terrys chocolate orange cheesecake. Delicious.
The cafe was very clean and tidy.
Would definitely go again.

Cookie dough was just a small cookie with a bit of chocolate on it, absolute rip off!!

Boyfriends chocolate milkshake was just a glass of milk with a small bit of choc ice cream through it

Kinder cookie pie was ROCK SOLID and stale. Almost broke my jaw trying to bite into it and tasted disgusting

Absolute waste of money

Disappointed, again. On the last three orders, we've been less than impressed. We had lentil soup with so much salt in it that it was inedible. It did smell great though so we'd ordered it on another occasion hoping it had been an accident, but no it was just as bad. We ordered crepes the first was served with so much raspberry sauce (Like the sauce you get from the ice cream van) all over it that after a couple of bites I was done trying to eat it. My daughter ordered crepes last week and they were super under cooked just whitish yellow and completely bland, another dish in the bin. The chilli-con-carne was so hot it burnt the mouth off me. I like spicy food but that was nuts forget about ordering it for your kids. The lasagne sucked too, another time they under cooked. Today we ordered candy canes with the rest of our order. They were £1 each and were the size of the wee packs from the pound shop or Asda, total rip-off.
My daughter does like the burger and chips though and I have to agree the burger was lovely and the chips were nice enough.
Overpriced, under-cooked. Disappointing.

We were out exploring in the early evening, having spent the day walking around and needed warming up, while we planned our next thing to do. The young lady who served us our hot brews (tea and coffees) was very hospitable and welcoming. We paid and on our way out, I asked where was a nice place to go and have a few drinks (alcoholic do t judge 😂). She gave us a few options of local pubs and we left to go and check a few out. We did and had a great evening.

The next day we found ourselves back again. We called in after having been on a boat trip on the loch. It was needed as we were all a tad frozen. The young lady who served us the previous night was working again and remembered us. We had coffees again and a cake to boot.

It’s a bit tight inside (it’s a small shop) so large groups are not going to get in, but fine for a couple of 2’s and 4’s. Brews were hot and service was very nice.

Would I go again?

Most definitely

Only had food delivered from scoops. Food was nice reasonable prices, and never had to wait long on food being delivered
