A gentle Easterly caused the waves to "hang".

Surfers carved white ribbons along the emerald blue faces of white crested swells.
In the far distance, Sker point began to show its majesty, as the tide began its ambling retreat.

Park Runners smiled and sweated and shimmered and shuffled. We smiled back in admiration of their endeavour.

The cafe loomed. A beacon upon a hill. Surveying all below.
The coffee was warm and tasty, the Egg Benedict delicious, all supplementary to a stunning view.

As we left to walk the coastal path back to town I felt a tap on my shoulder and a voice whispered in my ear

...... son take a good look around. This is your hometown"

Amazing views from the terrace which gives sufficient shelter from the wind expecially on blustery but dry days.
Good selection of food & drink either for lunch or just a coffee/cake.
Plenty of indoor seating too for wet weather days.

A great location to have a coffee and a bit of lunch. The building is lovely with a fab view. Don't go there with no time to spare as the service can be a bit slow so make sure you have plenty of time and just enjoy the lovely food and the experience

This place has amazing views and is really well positioned, unfortunately when we came in we ordered two oat milk drinks. When they came we asked the waitress several times that they were oat because we have dairy allergies, they confirmed they definitely were. But when I tried them it was a caramel latte. After taking it back they confirmed they’d made the mistake. It’s really disappointing and since then I’ve only ordered black coffees. I hate leaving negative reviews on businesses, but something like this can have really detrimental effects on customers.

A great place to sit and look down towards the beach on a sunny or stormy day. Good choice of food and drinks all reasonably priced. Very helpful and friendly staff. Go in the morning and try their full breakfast...DELICIOUS 😋 This time it was just a cuppa and a slice of cake.

It's the location that wins out for this place. Superb views over Rest Bay and a large balcony to enjoy them from. Good selection of food and drinks served throughout the day. Service was good, although there can be a bit of a wait at busy times. Food is nicely presented, quite expensive and portions not overly generous. I had veggie breakfast and the vegan sausage was excellent, but the Tofu under-seasoned.

Came on a bank holiday and, granted, was busy, however two inexperienced staff with the most inefficient cooking/serving process I have ever seen caused a queue of 15 people take over an hour to get through. Literally watching each other cook food.

All while playing with hair that wasn’t tied up properly, face, and phones while touching food/cash and not washing hands, food being left out and not rotated, dirty equipment being wiped down with a dirty tea towel and a manager who would turn up and have a look occasionally and walk away.

Grim. Made sure to get the food we could be sure would be absolutely nuked and wasn’t on rotation.

Another member of staff walked on occasionally to laugh at the others who had run out of burgers (without telling the queue) and play on her phone, ignoring the queue entirely.
