Updated Review - 09/05/2019 - I've just purchased my second camera from them (OMD E-M10). All staff were helpful - and even discussed pros & cons of the model(s) I was looking at. Yet another hassle-free and faultless service.

Original Review - 06/12/2016 - Recently purchased a Lumix Lx100 from here. All the staff I dealt with were helpful with excellent product knowledge. They even allowed me to spend time in the shop with the product in an unhurried pressure-free environment whilst the salesperson demonstrated the key features of the camera. I decided to purchase the new camera - and they agreed to price-match the Web 'giants', as well as offering a competitive trade-in for my old camera. Excellent experience. Just one word of warning, though; they don't carry all the stock in store that's listed on their website, however they got my Lumix in within a few days for me to trial. I'd recommend you contact them first if you were planning a visit to road-test a specific model.

Recent purchase saw us buy Canon Eos 250D, macro lense, spare battery, bag and sd card. Great support service when buying and more importantly the after sales when we had an issue. Excellent shop and an asset to the local area. Thank you for your help and service.

I get all of my orders delivered here because I live in a shared house and I'm not always in. They except Wish orders here.

Be very weary!! I took my Panasonic VXF1 camcorder in for repair and got messed around from start to finish. (The LCD screen displayed upside down when opened). I paid £10 for them to send the camera to their “repair specialists” and diagnose the problem. 2 weeks went by and I hadn’t received a quote so I called them to find out that the “repair specialists” had in fact lost my camera but had now found it and will be in touch soon with a quote to repair… Another week went by without hearing anything so I chased them again to be told the camera is a write off as the whole board needed replacing which was going to cost over £500. This was before Camera Box added their own fees. The manager was however quick to try and sell me a new one they had in store… I declined and asked for my camera to be sent back to the store and I would collect as soon as. Another week went by and I was again chasing to find out the “repair specialists” hadn’t even sent the camera back to the store.

I have since collected the camera and taken it to Skears in Northampton. They diagnosed the problem in store and quoted me £180 for a new LCD hinge. So, not a write off, board doesn’t need replacing and not a +£500 repair bill!

Whether this was Camera Box fault or not, they use these “repair specialists” who are clearly not very good at what they do and clearly cannot be trusted.

So far have stole my money, not responding to my emails or calls, and not shipped the item. And it has been over 6 weeks.

A local camera shop with people who know what they are talking about is a rarity these days, so please support them if you do not want to lose them. A good stock of equipment, accessories and materials in stock, but anything they do not have they can usually order within a week or two. Prices are very reasonable, often equal to or even below what you can find on the internet. They also have a good supply of second hand equipment on display. And if anything goes wrong or there is a problem with a purchase you can take it back to the shop rather than have to post it...
