I would like to thank Nikki for taking the time to reach out and chat to me and resolving the situation. I have always had a very good relationship with the Chelmsford branch staff as I have purchased many items over many years. As the staff have been very polite, funny, and very helpful, it was my go to camera store.
I believe there are some new staff which are being trained at the moment which may lead to confusion.

NB. I was hoping that the lack of contacting customer regarding an enquiry was an isolated incident with my self, hence why my initial score was 2 stars, then I read Martin's Google review ! !

Terrible service. My husband placed a deposit on my Fuji film camera at the camera expo one month ago. We have called multiple times to enquire about stock but no one could give us an answer. A few times when we called we were told someone would call us back to give us more information. No one called us and we ended up having to follow up ourselves - again with no answer.
Today my husband called to cancel the order and ask for the deposit back and got told that someone would call him back later today to organise this. Again, no call from anyone.
I am very disappointed with the lack of help from the camera world and not being able to get a simple answer about the availability of stock

There is huge room for improvement here.

I had issues with my order, was given bad advice (lenses were suggested that did not fit the camera body I ordered) and even more issues getting the right VAT invoice sent through for my purchase.

A lack of communication, emails not replied to, calls not returned and good luck getting through to them at all if you call them.

I ordered from a competitor instead (Wex) and had first rate advice and service.

Excellent service, great to have a really good camera shop local. Purchased a lens put it straight on my camera and had a good time photographing around the town.

I'm a repeat customer. Excellent service as always from the Chelmsford store, who were happy to spend a long time discussing my requirements and the best solutions to fit my budget, as well as offering a very fair trade-in on some of my older kit. As a consequence I've invested in a new mirrorless camera body (Canon R7) plus 2 lenses. Highly recommended.

The amazing Doug really helped us choose a first camera for our 14year old daughter. So very knowledgeable and personable with a teenager. Highly recommend this store

Lovely camera store. The old brick-and-mortar-first feel of the website shouldn't make you feel like you're in the wrong hands. The fact that they've focussed less on online selling is something that plays into your favour as a customer. They are prompt, kind and helpful. I had the easiest experience buying, and returning a gift after I realised it wasn't needed.

I had issues with payment via Amazon pay, a glitch didn't put the order through to CW but Amazon deleted funds. Not CW fault but Graham went above and beyond in helping to sort this out, I appreciated that soooo much. I will always shop with a company who treat the customer this well. Thank you.
