Liked: Beautiful area of parkland with cheeky fox. Area was gorgeous. Family friendly. Manageress was really nice after 2 invasions of ants. We stayed last night in a fairy house which was beautiful. Cheap too.

Disliked: Ants on electric field and disabled facilities could do with a bit of tlc but didn't smell. Shop barely had anything no tent pegs cables and was closed 7pm to 8am

Liked: A nice site with good sized pitches. Quite busy at the time but very quiet, especially at night. The site itself was clean and the bins were emptied first thing in the morning. There were recycling facilities too.The Wi-Fi connected easily. Remote checking in was easy and instructions were good.

Disliked: The surrounding area outside of the park was very overgrown and uninviting. The shop was a disappointment, little choice and limited. Although the toilet block was clean, the facilities are in need of some tlc. The food hut didn’t appear to be operating.

Liked: The size of the pitches are good. Level pitches. Close to the M25 and North London. Bus stop adjacent to site.
It was quiet, once we had moved from C8. This pitch is right next to the toilet/shower block and people walked across our pitch to access the toilets. We could hear the hand-dryer being used overnight. We asked to move the following morning and we moved to a much quieter pitch.
Plenty of hot water.
Clean

Disliked: Pitch C8, see above, noisy pitch.
Only 3 showers in each (male/female)
Only 1 shower in the female block had a lock.
The shop was not fully stocked as advertised only a few shelves in the reception. Do not expect to be able to buy very much.

Liked: Liked everything that the campsite offered good facilities.
Toilet, showers etc. we’re good and clean.
Public transport into London was good and convenient starting with a bus directly outside the campsite.

Disliked: I think there is a fox prowling around at night.
From our tent two boxes of eggs and a box of biscuits disappeared during the night.

Otherwise no other dislikes

Liked: Clean and tidy. Good facilities including laundrette. Friendly staff. Close to London City Centre with good transport links (about 1 hour drive).

Good park on site

We seen and heard foxes quite a bit, we had to chase one out of our tent kitchen area during the night, luckily all our food was stored away, it only got away with my eggs! One morning it was staring under the porch area watching me cook sausages!

Disliked: Closest gents toilets had no working locks and only one cubicle had a toilet seat that wad loose.

Liked: Everything about my 12 days at Lee Valley were magnificent -- even as a Newbie camper surrounded by hardened veterans. Lots of free advice, shows nice & toasty, great selection of washers and dryers for clothing, toilets were cleaned well daily. Very peaceul environment, a round of golf? a movie at the cinema 30 seconds walk away? A sports centre, and a supermarket within walking distance. The staff wee also fabulous and eager to help as and when required. Highly recommended and will be back. --- Sergio

Liked: This is our second visit here for the London Marathon. Altho this site is basic it is kept spotlessly clean by the staff if anything it is the people who use it that don’t always leave it as they should, we didn’t have any problem at all, lovely hot showers.
Easy access into London using the bus from the site to the train station then train to Liverpool St and tube to anywhere you want to visit. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Excellent value for money for easy access into the city.

Liked: Peaceful, safe site, excellent bus service, helpful reception staff. My hard standing was a small, level, concreted pitch, just big enough to park on, but nobody is going to be sitting around all day with London a bus/train ride away. Buses back until after midnight, however, it's still a trek from the bright lights. Reception advises to download a cab app just in case Laundry room on site operates with tokens. Free basic WiFi.

Disliked: Shower block is getting a bit timeworn but it's as clean as they can possibly make it.
