Liked: Very friendly host, lovely clean well maintained site. Quiet and friendly campers who were always willing to help other campers. The showers & toilets are clean and very good. The location is great for walks in the forest. Overall great site and I would definitely return.

Disliked: We were inundated with ants from the moment we arrived. Only 2 showers in the men's block.

Liked: Very welcoming and with good shower and washing facilities which were spotlessly clean. This was much appreciated after a long cycle ride as a good shower with plenty of dry space is high on my list! Obviously quieter than at other times of the year but plenty of space for many tents. No noise issues or parties so great nights sleep was had. Great hosts and well maintained site…will be back!

Disliked: Only the ants which were pretty active in the field…..can’t control Mother Nature though! Wi fi not great as you head further away into the tent pitches with no electric… but who needs Wi-Fi when surrounded by nature!

Liked: -Very pretty area in general
-Generous flat pitches (particularly spacious if pitching on the end pitches)with good access to electric hook up and water taps
-very peaceful and quiet site on edge of forest
-Owners very friendly and visible and recommended local walks and pubs
-clean facilities
-Close to Bury St Edmunds which has lots of places to eat and drink
-departure time is 12 noon which is a little later than some sites which was nice and relaxed

Disliked: - although pitches were very spacious, we found that due to layout we were quite close to those pitches behind us on the other side of the fence. Not a huge issue as our ‘neighbours’ were lovely, but did impact upon privacy to some degree
- would have preferred sink in toilet rather than sanitiser, although sinks are located in shower block adjacent to toilets
- not an issue for us, but no wifi signal where we were pitched which bother others

Liked: A great location, only 12 mins drive from the excellent Bury St Edmunds and about 30 from Cambridge. On the edge of a forest with an Anglo Saxon village, nature walks and a lake on the other side of the (quiet) road from the site. No traffic noise at all. Lots of room as pitches are spread out around the perimeter. Relaxed atmosphere and good facilities including dog wash. Pitches were level.
Easy access to Bury St Edmunds, Ely, Cambridge and many smaller villages.

Liked: Superb high standard of facilities and very clean.
If only all campsite sites were like this paying attention to the smaller detail.
The Toilets, Showers, and Pot Wash area are first class for a campsite.
Great area for dog walking off the lead in the forest.
We will definitely be coming back

Disliked: The Anglo Saxon Village was restricted so we couldn't visit with our very well-behaved cocker spaniel. Their loss
Please be aware that dogs on a lead are welcome in the country park but assistance dogs only are permitted in the Anglo-Saxon village due to the presence of livestock.

Liked: Fantastic location. Miles of forest walks straight from site. With off lead walking for our 2 dogs.
Opposite the site is the Stow country park, saxon village and museum (£7 entry for adult for village et ), also a cafe.(dogs need to be on a lead in most areas, and in others on lead at certain times of year).
We enjoyed watching the horses from our van.
The site and owners have a laid back peaceful atmosphere, good clean showers (2 in gents and 3 in ladies), 3 off unisex toilets and one disabled. Chemical disposal point. No laundry for campers, (which was a negative).
Lots of water points
Warm dog wash.
On flight path for Mildenhall so watched the aircraft, which we enjoyed.
We picked it because it was Adult only

Disliked: We were there during a heatwave, so ground was very dusty which meant the van (and our feet) got filthy. It is what it is !
Lots of Ants...needed ant powder.
No WiFi, limited/intermittent tv reception and limited phone/Internet on EE, although we were told Vodafone was better.
(Maybe aerial plug in by electric and site wifi?).
We had a Tesco shopping delivery to site whilst we were there, but it was very difficult amending our order and when the driver needing to call us on arrival (so we could meet at gate) due to phone signal.Just be aware.

Liked: Lovely quiet site with grass pitches. Water and electrics next to pitch.
Good toilets and showers. Easy access to forest for walks.
Across the road from a Saxon village and large park with a lake.

Easy access to Bury St. Edmunds, Newmarket and Thetford.

Owners are horse lovers.

Disliked: Not sure that shower block is heated.

Liked: Flat pitches on sturdy ground with plenty of space around them. Electrical hookups attached to the fence at the back of each pitch so easy to access and drinking water points placed at regular intervals.
Toilets and shower facilities were nice and clean and everything had a professional look to it, with proper signage for example, no laminated A4 sheets.
Dog friendly, it even has a warm water dog wash! Situated right next to Kings Forest you can walk straight into it and follow the mark routes.
Being adults only, it was a lovely quiet site, arriving in the evening it was almost silent

Disliked: Wasn’t a huge issue but we arrived during the advertised Reception hours and it was already closed. We called the number and got a polite and friendly answer straight away, advising us to simply choose a pitch. This was great except that it was dark and the only light we had was the headlights on our vehicle, so it was a little disorienting driving around with no idea of the layout of the site and lighting up potential pitches. Hope we didn’t annoy other campers.
Like I said, not a biggy but some guidance on-site would have made it much easier
