Little gem of a place quiet peaceful very clean only one shower takes 20p coin but lovely one male toilet one female toilet very clean. Bev and her husband can't do enough for you gave us maps and advice for walks we are not very good at map reading but gave us confidence to have a go and if all else fails a short phone call away would come and rescue us😜 it's an adult site so very quiet and relaxed. We will be back again.

Stunning, small but spacious site. Lovely owners, friendly and helpful. Bev works tirelessly to keep it spotless, has endless energy and patience. Been to many sites, this is our favourite. Booked to go back next year. My husband is a keen fisherman, found lovely lake 1.5 miles away, Noxon pond £5 a day. Few good pubs within a mile. Excellent Sunday roast at Miners Sling😊😊😊

Sometimes you want to hold back a review because a place is so perfect you want to keep it for yourself. Set on the edge of the Forest of Dean, in a quiet village, the peace here is surreal and the facilities, though simple, are clean and all that you need. You’ll find a place here to rest and relax or there’s the nearby Forest of Dean or Wye Valley for walks or mountain biking

What a fantastic site this is! Perfect pitches and spotless showers and toilets. Bev's energy and enthusiasm is infectious and Mark was a absolute pleasure to speak too. All campsite owners should aspire to achieve Bev and Marks high standard.
This is a 11 out of 10 rating site and we cannot wait to return.

Hi, this is our first time in his part of the country and we are staying at Hawthorne Cottage Caravan Site. The site is owned and run by a lovely lady called Bev. The site is well laid out on a tier type system and has really good facilities. There are lots of great walks around the area and loads of wildlife. We will defiantly come and stay again.

What a perfect campsite! Just back from a quiet couple of days right next to the Forest. Idyllic and quiet! Pitches all well spaced and private and the facilities spotless. Bev is so friendly with lots of info on what to do and see in the area. We shall definitely be back. A lucky find. Nicola and David

Hawthorne cottage caravan and motorhome site is a small tranquil adult only site located in the heart of the Forest of Dean. The site and its facilities are meticulously maintained and clean. Bev who runs the the site seems to have limitless energy and is always on the go and yet still finds time to stop and chat. Incredibly helpful, nothing is to much trouble. There are a seemingly endless number of walking and cycling routes through the forest and close by are a number of interesting places to visit, including Puzzle Wood and the village of Parkend where in the summer you can book to take a steam train into Lydney and back.

A jewel in the heart of the Forest of Dean. From the site, you can walk and cycle straight into the heart of the forest. A short distance from the tranquil Cannop ponds, canoe or walk along the Wye river and climb up to Symmonds Yat. Spacious pitches, free wi-fi and exceptional customer service from the owner make it a memorable location that you want to return again to see the seasons change in this lovely site.
