Stayed at this campsite for a night and I must say I really recommend it. The owner was very friendly and helpful and they only let small family groups on which means it's nice and quiet -just how I like it. You get plenty of room for your pitch although I would say many of them have a slight slope so you may need levellers. It's great value, probably one of the cheaper ones in that area. One useful tip - we were searching online for a site and this, like many, showed no vacancies. I phoned the owner to double check and there was some availability, so it was well worth the phone call.

Lovely quiet site, apart from a bit of noise from the main road. Warm welcome on arrival with everything well explained. Good washing up facilities and handy freezer for ice packs etc. Not enough showers for the number of pitches, they were also very small. Local pub (The Oak) 5 min walk serves great food, with outdoor seating area.

Liked: Very friendly welcome from Harriet as soon as we arrived. Gave us the option of two pitches and her recommendation which we followed. So we stayed in the field more for adults. Harriet also gave us some information about the local area, walks into Rye, the local pub etc.
The site is very well kept and has good facilities a couple of unisex toilets and showers as well as a couple of separate facilities. A good sized washing up area with bowls, drying racks and washing up liquid provided. There is also a freezer, microwave and phone charging points available. No wifi but I wouldn’t really expect that on a campsite but the phone signal was good (Virgin and EE).
Pitches were nice and large and though just about all were in use in our field it felt spacious and we had our privacy. You do hear cockerels and dogs barking but you are in the countryside and the road is busy most of the time but didn’t disturb us.
The surrounding area has a lot to offer, we did the walk to Rye (2 miles, well signposted over farmland) which was idyllic and Rye itself is a very interesting place. We also had trips to Winchelsea and a day at Camber sands (as we had a dog we went to the further along where there were a lot less people 😊)
Overall an excellent campsite that is well run and kept clean in a lovely part of the country. We hope to return.

By far and beyond the nicest and most well thought out camp site I have stayed on. All for a reasonable price. The owners had laid out really helpful maps and suggestions of food and activity options. The bathrooms and toilets were clean and not too busy. It was ideally situated a short distance from the lovely Rye, accessible by bus stop (directly outside), car or a lovely country walk through farm and field. We will definitely return and perhaps check out the B&B rooms. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Liked: Great location for countryside walks, supermarket, pubs, Rye and camber. Great showers/toilets/washing up area and lovely owner too.
We all had a great stay. Can't fault it at all. Perfect having a pub (the Oak) walking distance. The walk to Rye (45 mins) through the countryside was lovely. Short drive to Camber too. We had lunch at the Cock Inn (5 mins drive away) on our way back and the food was really nice.

Liked: We had a great stay. The facilities are good and the owner was helpful and friendly. The site is well located, there’s a pub 5 minutes down the road and a shop a little further. The pitches were well spaced and even at full capacity it did not feel busy or crammed!

Liked: Very friendly owners. Clean toilets and showers. Good washing up facilities. Bus stop outside to go into Rye, also you could walk into Rye with a provided map. Two lovely pubs within walking distance serving great food.Despite some torrential rain we enjoyed our stay.

Disliked: Nothing. Was all good!

Liked: It was far by one of the best campsites we have stayed in!
It was very well organised, with good spacious and level pitches. The showers were very good, with plenty of hot water.
The washing up station was lovely and lit up at night. There was nothing I could fault!
