Good location and great footpath down to the coast near by. Showers/facilities were clean and hot water. Pitches were quite private and we appreciated all the water points dotted around.

Service was a little mixed hence the one star off.

Took a cycling trip to Swanage and stayed 2 nights in the Hikers Field. For £8/night it was perfect. Friendly owners/staff, great facilities (toilets/showers) and close to the coastal path if that is your thing.
Lots to see around the area of Swanage and also Corfe Castle is near.

Great site. It is set in pitches so you get enough space. Quite a long walk into town, but a lovely quiet location. Direct access to plenty off footpaths. Bacon sandwiches in the morning were great. Clean toilets and showers and dogs were all on leads.

Another wonderful week camping at Tom's field.
If you want to stay at a quiet, family friendly (including well behaving dogs) campsite then this is for you. Toilet block, showers and washing up point all with constant hot water. A well stocked campsite shop with all the essentials including fresh local milk, bread even pastries. There's even a café for your breakfast needs if you don't want to cook!
The site has direct access to footpaths to Corfe Castle, Swanage and dancing ledge, the local pub in Langton Matravers is but a 10min short walk away.
In the high season parking in Swanage can be difficult and expensive, a buss runs from just outside the campsite I to Swanage every hour and is only £4 return.

- they have a little “hiker’s field” for people walking or cycling. However, it’s next to another busy ‘regular’ field with families etc who were noisy until very late (quiet time is 11pm, a bit late for people who’re walking/cycling all day and want to sleep when the sun sets after a long day)
+ The facilities were fantastic - spotless bathroom with great showers (great water pressure), they even have sinks dedicated for washing clothes which is fab when you just need to wash a few items
+ The staff was super nice and helpful and even let us charge our phones! Thanks!!

This was our second visit to this campsite. The location and facilites are great. However, we were in the family field and there were two big groups of friends who made a lot of noise at night. Amplified music is not allowed on the site but this rule wasn't enforced. We left two nights early as a result. We did explain to the lady in the site office why we were leaving. She asked the man in the shop if he'd been around enforcing the music ban and he simply said he hadn't....a real shame. Maybe we should have complained, but the groups were fairly intimidating, and I didn't want to put myself in the Victor Meldrew role for the rest of my time with these people.

Be warned! 11pm quiet means absolute silence after 11. We stayed for one night and were quietly talking after 11 and were asked to leave the next day. Lovely staff treated us well, but if you have any desire to do anything after 11pm that isn't sleeping then this isn't the campsite for you.

Loved the feel of this campsite and excellent base for walking from. Lovely breakfast in the morning for campers. Showers/toilets could do with refurb.
