We stayed for a long weekend and didn't want to leave. A brilliant idyllic, picturesque, quite and quirky little campsite. Fabulous hosts who have thought of everything and much more. Very well situated, as Paddy says, everything is no more than 15 to 20 minutes away. We normally stay at adults only sites but there is so much play space , we look forward to returning very soon .

Stayed here at the end of August for 3 nights and was our favourite campsite of the 2 month trip. Really pretty spot with a river running through and such great facilities from hot showers to fridge access, kettle use, tea and coffee, use of head torches, inflatables, tent pegs, games, crockery, cutlery, maps, all sorts! The barn is such a luxury providing shelter and loads of bits you might have forgotten. I can imagine this is a great campsite to bring kids too as there are tons of toys, a play area, mud kitchen and river to play in. The whole family who run the campsite were so hospitable and we felt entirely comfortable at their lovely site. Really reasonable too, no midges, all in all a great time!

Fantastic setting, amazing little additions to keep the kids amused, but best of all are the hosts - Jenny, Paddy and kids. Can't do enough for you. It guts me to rate them high as other folk will now discover this hidden bit of paradise!

Paddy is the best host, great site but more suited to caravans and motorhome rather than tents. If you want rustic this is your place and the host cannot be faulted, always on hand and so accommodating

The owner is a very helpful guy who went out of his way to make everyones experience great. I would also recomend taking him up on his fishing offer! His son took us to his private lake and tought us some fly fishing. On top of that you get to take the fish back to camp to cook on the fire. A great experience and couldn't recomend this camp site more.

Just back from an amazing week at Gara Bridge campsite. A beautiful spot, very tranquil, in a valley by the river Avon. Really lovely owners who were super friendly and helpful. Loved all of the creative touches & flair around the site, lots of thought gone into the details- they provided bird seed to feed the birds, small vintage suitcases full of maps and guides for each camper, a lovely wooden steamer chair to lounge around in by the river, & a herb garden to pick your own. Great access to the beaches, the Moor, Totnes & Kingsbridge. Really couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Unfortunately Paddy and Jenny have had to remove the toilets and showers for at least the 2021 season due to local objections. This is most friendly campsite I have sever visited. The hosts go out of their way to provide a pleasurable stay. The 3 pitches next to the river are idyllic and there is a plentiful supply of birdseed so that you can attract birds to your pitch. We had a woodpecker feeding from the table by our van.
Definitely want to go back. Open to Camping and Caravaning Club Members only.
