Liked: Lovely small friendly site, cafe and shop with essential items available.
Shower blocks fantastic, always clean!
Separate toilets also very good.
Kids area was well used by our 7 year old who made some lovely friends, owner explained that they are going to invest on some more play equipment in time.
A short drive to lots of activities!
Fantastic stay, even in 30°+ heat!

Liked: Lovely spacious pitch, quiet countryside location. Showers and toilets lovely and clean. Nice small shop selling essentials and take-away food and coffee/tea. Mix of tents, caravans and motor homes. As always, camping is like a social heaven, with people being so nice and friendly.
Pitches were nice and level too.

Disliked: No dislikes about site but it would be nice if people take dogs, they can control them. A few dogs continuously barking.
Would also like a few more activities in kids play area - maybe boules pit, some more park style equipment. Happy kids = happy parents, they also spend more in shops.

Liked: Amazing, spacious and outstandingly clean facilities. Well stocked shop with hot food options and milkshakes! Pitches were good size too. The surrounding area is up there with the most beautiful parts of Britain; Symonds Yat is a hidden gem and there is so much to explore on the river.

Disliked: Whilst not really the fault of the camp site, the roads to get there are extremely challenging with a touring caravan, so it will take some prior route planning if you have a tourer.

Liked: Everything. We had pitch number 3, which was very spacious, few steps from the shop, water and toilet/shower/washing up block. Facilities were spotless and well maintained, shop well stocked and not overpriced. My son had sausage bap twice and the coffee was lovely too. All staff very friendly and informative. The okay area was pretty busy as it is quite limited but there is a lovely walk to the outskirts of coleford with a huge play area and that was fab. Everything is in the door step too and we visited puzzlewood, forest of Dean sculpture walk and Symons Yat viewpoint. The Perrygrove railway left us disappointed as it was very expensive for what you get and facilities were dated and some equipment even dangerous, the lady in ticket office said it was being refurbished in three week but they are still charging full pay.
We will be back to this site, it's the best site we've ever been to so far. Plus the possibility of renting the fire pit was fab too.

Disliked: WiFi is chargeable at £1 per day per device and I feel this should be included in pitch price.

Liked: We stayed at Greenacres for 4 nights in August. We had a lovely friendly welcome on arrival and were shown where our pitch was. We were amazed at the size of the pitch, much larger than other sites we have stayed at. We loved that it was not a huge site, well set out and an amazing sized playing field with climbing frame for the kids, a safe space surrounded by trees and hedges.
As it was only a smaller site, there was only one toilet/shower block, however, this was well maintained with some lovely touches of lovely mirrors and plants. They were always clean and never too busy - no cueing for the shower!
There is also a separate baby/family shower room which was really large and also a small launderette - which we didn't use but had we stayed longer we may well have done.
The owners and staff were always on hand for anything needed. They were incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The reception also doubles as a small shop and also do hot drinks, meals and breakfast baps, all very reasonably priced - not a rip off like some sites we have stayed at.
All in all a beautiful site, lots of tourist attractions close by, we will definitely be going again. Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommended.

Disliked: Absolutely nothing!

Liked: Site was within walking distance to the local village of Coleford, and a short dive or walk to all Forest of Dean attractions. We had a very good size pitch, facilities were clean and excellent. On-site shop was really good, had all essentials you could need and you could buy coffee and breakfast too. Firepit hire was great. Staff were really friendly and helpful

Disliked: A couple of noisy neighbours and a lot of rain but that can't be helped!

Liked: Ended up arriving late to the beautiful site as we had trouble with the van . The vw 1968 then broke down blocking the entrance . The wife and husband who run it were so lovely and so was the camping community . Couldn’t have asked for any more support from them both and nothing was above and beyond . We ended up pushing it to our pitch . In the am we could see how pretty and clean the site was .
I took cleaning products for the bathrooms ( it was cleaner than mine ) showers were great . They had a laundry room . The cafe and picnic area was superb ran by the couple with home made bakes and the prices were great .
Close by was bike trails and they new all about the area and could not be more helpful . All families were lovely . Very quiet at night . I was amazed. Definitely returning when we have more time . This site is a must

Liked: Thoughtfully laid out and very well kept site. Very helpful owners. Spotless toilets and showers. Excellent washing up facilities. Dog friendly with good footpaths accessible directly from the site. Nice to find a site where open fires are allowed: the rentable fire baskets were very popular.

Disliked: Just a couple of minor points. Signage at the site entrance could be improved. Stones used on the hard tracks are quite big making them a bit tricky to walk on for older people.
