We stopped here for a few days in our camper van. We were met at the entrance by the owners who quickly registered us and showed us to an area somewhat away from the tents with young families. There was plenty of room and all areas were quiet from early evening. The facilities are good, with at least two sets of composting toilets, showers, water supplies and washing up facilities in different parts of the site. All very clean and well set up. There was access to freezers for cooling cold pads and sockets for charging a few phones ( bring your charger, of course ). Near the entrance is a small shop with ice creams, cold drinks, farm produced burgers from their own stock. The farm adjoins the Cuckoo Trail which is ideal for walking or bike riding. The trail is shaded and cool in the hottest weather. Overall, this is our favourite campsite - and we are very well travelled. A lovely, friendly site which is highly recommended.

Liked: Steve and Nicola are outstanding hosts, friendly and helpful.
The site is set in beautiful countryside next to The Cuckoo Line.
The toilets, showers and cleaning areas are regularly cleaned and are spotless.
We had a great week at Fontmills, and will definitely be returning in the future.
A big thank you also to John and Barbara who also ensured that the site was clean and tidy.
Highly recommended.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Fabulous campsite with extremely friendly staff.. Ace to John & Barbara, Steve and Nicola! It was our first family camping and did make good memories. Great facilities, clean and secured. Pitches are massive too. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved this campsite, friendly owners and it was so quiet and peaceful. Absolute win was no dogs or cars allowed on site (except for unloading/loading) which meant the kids could play safely in plain sight. Also a lot of picnic benches dotted around near the pitches which was a lovely touch.

Great amenities, everything was really clean. Freezers in the kitchen area to freeze your ice packs and electricity to charge phones/iPads if needed. Lovely shop with all the bits and pieces you might need including firewood.

It’s a working farm, so there are a good variety of animals for the children to see plus fresh eggs from the hens!

We will definitely be back, thank you Steve and Nicola :)

Liked: Spacious, well kept and well managed site. Friendly welcome from the owners Steve & Nicola.
Very clean facilities-loos (conventional and now composting too) and there's always plenty of hot water for the showers too.
Decent washing up areas and having a couple of shared freezers available is a great help as is having a power point.
All in all an enjoyable stay and well worth visiting.

Disliked: Nothing

A lovely campsite! Only our second time camping with our kids and we all had a great time. The facilities were all clean and practical, showers nice and hot, and fire pits available for use which was handy too. We unfortunately had to leave a night early due to illness (nothing to do with the site!) and they were very understanding and very helpful, really lovely people. Thank you for a great stay, we'll definitely be back!

The bell tent was very comfortable and everything was provided, facilities are basic but very clean and perfectly adequate. There is access to the Cuckoo Trail for walking and cycling via a short farm track directly from the site. There is plenty of space on the site which is quiet and relaxing. The crew were friendly and accommodating, ICD highly recommend Fontmills for family camping & glamping.

Nice place to camp. Very friendly people. Tiolet and washing facilities are kept nice and clean, they are basic but perfect. As far as I saw there are two openfields to camp. There is option to put the tent up in the shade of the trees, which I love. From the campside you can walk the cuckoo trail the campsite is about 1/3 down the trail if you start at the north. The trail is 14 miles long. It used to be a railway until it was shut down in 1960.
