Quiet child-free site that feels a lot smaller than it is due to a canny layout. Nice modern wetrooms with free hot showers and hairdryers as well as a camp kitchen with fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave. The tent field is small and tucked away from the caravans which is nice but it does mean a fair walk to the facilities, not helped by no direct path - one has to wind ones way around the caravans to get there. Most of the vans seem to be seasonal pitches, only about 10% appeared to be occupied on a dreary weekend at the beginning of the summer holidays. The owners are friendly and helpful and there are good recycling facilities.

Great new shower block with heated floor & complete separate unit with basin, shower, hair dryer & toilet. Very helpful owners. Pitches are a good size & hard standing. Most pitches however, are annually sited so only a few available for proper tourers. Location is OK which is why I only gave 4 stars. Not many footpaths (Muddy when we visited) from the site & you really need to use your car. Scenery is superb, visit Montgomery Castle for outstanding panoramic views. Lake Vyrnwy is a must visit approx 24 miles from the site. Overall a great 4 nights say.

Adult only .. friendly .. quiet and peaceful .. Great facilities and friendly owners .
Dog friendly ... and has a good dog walking area .
The only downside .. the wifi is not brilliant in certain parts of the site .
The name of the site is actually ..
Rhyd-Y-Groes touring and camping park .. but google will not change it .. despite me suggesting an edit and name change ..

Lovely site, really enjoyed our stay. Excellent and clean facilities, our pitch was fully serviced with an allocated ''garden" in the sun.

Would definitely visit again, especially enjoyed the adult only part. Thanks

Enjoyed a few quiet days at this site. It has big pitches, some with hedges around them for extra privacy. Water and drainage at pitch for no extra charge. Sanitary building was clean and consisted of individuals wet rooms. Friendly welcome from owner. No TV signal unless you have satellite dish.

This is a beautiful relaxing caravan park, for sited and touring caravans. The shower/toilet facilities are kept immaculate at all times and the pitches are spacious and not over crowded. If you want to sit and relax in piece and quiet and enjoy the beautiful Welsh countryside then this is the place for you. There is a fenced off dog walking area and a special dog shower room too
