Liked: The field was lovely with long wild grasses covering the space between the pitches and lots of space between each tent, making the experience feel wild and intimate. June was a delight to chat to, supplying us with a walking map of the local area with pubs marked on it. There's plenty to explore within walking distance of the site! The local wildlife came out in force - we saw red deer, foxes, rabbits, birds of prey, and ducklings - and got caught in a rather dramatic thunderstorm! The facilities were clean, simple and eco-friendly, and the small snack shack was an added bonus for morning coffee.

Disliked: The only minor downside was the road noise from the A22, but this was only audible when the wind was in a certain direction, and didn't detract from our fun or our sleep.

Liked: This is a lovely peaceful spot - my trip was cut slightly short by a change of plans but the time I was there was great. The adults only space at the back provided a secluded small field with great views and total peace. Lovely ladies running the site too - made me feel very comfortable as a solo female traveller. Thanks all, will definitely be back.

Liked: Conveniently located and well kept campsite. Basic facilities but hot showers and everything very clean. The owners are very friendly. Lovely breakfast provided by the van on site.

Disliked: There is some road noise for those who like absolute silence but it didn't bother us.

Liked: I loved the campsite and would recommend it to anyone looking to go camping, even for the first time.
The owner, June welcome my daughter and I. We were woefully unprepared for our holiday but thanks to the help and advice of June we were able to enjoy our stay and even have some fun excursions.
I was quite panicked about camping and June put me at ease. Some noteworthy things that I would like to share about staying at the Colemans’ campsite are the –
•A snack van serving hot drinks, chips and waffles
• A discreet toilet unit in the corner of the field (behind willow fences) and two hot showers near the reception tent.
•The owner of the campsite, June, who moves around in a golf buggy!
•The reactivity is really good concerning practical problems such as putting up a tent (or replacing one), finding directions to local towns or to Brighton, Information about places to visit and breathtaking views such as Seven Sisters.
•Michelam Priory is a short drive from the campsite as is the town of Hailsham, full of cheap second hand-shops.
• Despite the big bad wolf blowing on our tent on the last night of our stay, the tent that June kindly lent us stayed up, which proves that Jordan really is THE man to put up a tent properly.
•The campsite is really peaceful. Although there was the Chiddfest music festival going on that weekend the sound was audible only on the first day and that depends largely on the wind direction, which like the weather is out of the campsite owners’ control.
•The animals and the wildlife. Birds and bats at night. The little Pony called Stompy and the horses and the cattle which we can see from the campsite.
•A service that is beyond expectations. Jordan came the first day to our rescue by putting up a tent that June lent us because our air-tent wouldn’t stay up. He also made a campfire set up to hang the pot on with one of June’s brooms. Every time I thought that my worst fears were going to come true ( getting lost in the little roads of East Sussex) or failing to cook our sausages or hamburgers, there was a solution provided, albeit by the friendly campers or by Julie, June, Jordan and Nick.
•My stay was a success above and beyond my wildest dreams.
Thankyou to all and I look forwards to seeing the wonderful view of the Seven Sisters when we return.

Liked: Lovely pop-up campsite close to Eastbourne beaches and amusement centres (there were a lot of amusement centres!!!). Toilets/showers were slightly dated but fine to use, and were kept clean. Owner was on site most of the time, and was very friendly and accommodating. She let us keep our trailer in the car park on our final day while we explore Eastbourne. You can drive onto the pitch to offload and load but keep cars in the carpark the rest of the time (safer for all the kids running around playing, and to prevent traffic noise at night and music playing out of cars). Car park is close enough.

There was a caravan on site selling breakfast and dinner food (burgers, etc) but our food was too crispy (burnt) so we only used it one morning - but great to use when you don't have time to eat out.

Note that pitches were closer together than I expected from previous pop-up camping but we still had plenty of space (more space than a typical campsite).

Only down-side was traffic noise (A22) so if I go back I'd request a pitch on the far side of the field, or wear ear plugs. Kids slept very well.

Tents pitched around the outer perimeter of a large field so plenty of space for kids to play safely. There were loads of kids when we went, all playing together and the campers were extremely friendly so there was a very good vibe there, and our children had loads of fun.

I'd recommend the owners put in a central community fire pit in the middle of the field - that would make a great addition.

Disliked: Traffic noise from A22

Liked: Really friendly welcome, VERY clean toilets and shower. Campfires, separate area for people with no children. Well run and very tidy. Have to take your rubbish with you so I think that keeps the site tidier. Cars are separate which I liked because people leaving early aren't starting their cars by your tent for example. The lady who runs the camping is absolutely lovely. She loves people. So much space for kids to play, massive. Really would recommend.

Disliked: You can hear the nearby A road

Really liked this campsite. The lady that has a food van does the most delicious food I've ever had! Butchers sausage patties were amazing! 4 flushing toilets and 2 showers on site. Remember to boil some water for washing up, as sink only has cold, and take a head torch! Loads and loads of space for kids to run around in the middle of the field, and still not disturb us. Very generous pitch sizes, so no-one was ontop of one another unless you're in a group. Very friendly hosts. Would stay again!

It's a lovely campsite, and even more amazing hosts. June was so accommodating with finding us the last spot under a cherry tree, allowing us to check-in late, welcoming us to the site and so on. We had a great time!
