Disliked: All the gravel tracks and hard standing pitches contained a lot of broken glass looked like it had been added on purpose. My son cut his arms and leg on it. Not enough toilets and showers and in old poor condition. Allowing large groups to meet and pitch a marquee to have party without telling any other guests.would not have stayed if we had known it was like being on a gypsy camp!

Liked: Was a really relaxed and chilled holiday! Beautiful scenery, clean area and also recycling area and rubbish area was clean and tidy too!
The lady stated the toilets and showers were basic but I couldn't fault them. They were clean and working! What more could you ask for!
We took our 2 dogs and there were plenty of poop bins for them and a field for them to be walked on.

Liked: Stunning area. Out of the way. Peaceful. Lots of owls can be heard
On site Pond great fishing

Disliked: Facilities.
Shower block is in an old shipping container
In need of refurbishment.
Just Two portaloos in the tent pitches area.
We arrived Friday the site wasn't full but one loo ran out of water on Saturday afternoon. The other had no hand soap.
We can cope with basic Facilities but in the current circumstances handwashing is a must have.

Dearest we have ever paid for a pitch without Electric and water

Liked: Quiet campsite with easy access to local hotshots. Owners are lovely couple.

Disliked: Glass in the gravel driveway which you have to cross to get to the toilet, not great when you have young children. Toilets need updating. Told on entry No Charcoal BBQ's allowed although they have a bin on site for used bbqs/charcoal.

Liked: Small quiet site, peaceful location.

Disliked: Toilet block clean, but dated, although upgrades apparently on the way.

Not much space between serviced pitches, next doors awning was nearly touching our van! <6m rule??>

Liked: Stayed on 2 electric grass pitches in 2 VW Campers, asked to be sited together and we was with loads of room.
Lovely quiet well kept site, very friendly and relaxed.
Basic but clean well stocked toilets, Can't comment on the showers as didn't use them.
There's a large adjacent field leading into a small wooded area which was great to let the dogs off for a good run around, also a lovely little fishing pond that is well fenced off making it very safe for children to play.
The availability to use our fire pit was very welcome at this time of the year.
All in all a very nice relaxed wkend break.

Liked: We had a lovely 2 night break here, we specifically chose this site as it is in the middle of nowhere and it is quiet....sooo quiet - we have a dog that is petrified of fireworks so this site was perfect for the bonfire weekend. The owner (Mairead I think her name is?) was very warm and welcoming on our arrival, which was dark when we got there but she explained everything very well. We have a motorhome which is over 8.5m in length, but the pitches were of ample size and we fitted perfectly. Added bonus of being on a fully serviced pitch, but they also had a motorhome/camper service point as well if needed. The facilities are basic, but they were clean. We had to chose our route into the site carefully, as most of the access roads are single track with no passing places - expect one route which we took and was fine. No issues at all with the site. We will definitely be back next November!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike - we wanted peace and quiet and that is what we got.

Liked: Lady owner seemed kind when we arrived

Disliked: Very disappointed as campsite bore little resemblance to the photos. The edge of the whole site had been dug up to lay new water and electric pipes and left making it very muddy and untidy. This has been left since November apparently and we should have been contacted beforehand to let us know in case we wanted to change our booking which we would have done.
The grass was very long having not been cut for at least a couple of months and hence never dried out even when it had stopped raining.
We ended up leaving 2 days early, and the owner did call us in our way home to ask if everything was all right when we did explain the above to him.
No signage for the site apart from on the gate, the postcode takes you much further up the lane and we had to ask someone for directions.
