Beautiful!
Small 5 pitch site in equestrian centre. Also does glamping in bell tents set in peaceful field lit at night with fairy lights. Views of stunning countryside offset with horses gently grazing nearby. Toilet facilities are very good. Lovely large clean unisex (there are only 5 pitches!) shower room with sink and loo plus one separate loo and sink.
Owners are unbelievably helpful. On site coffee shop really is excellent. Good quality food freshly cooked. Great cakes! Bacon butties are very moreish.
7 miles from Alton Towers. Perfect antidote to the sweaty heaving mass of bodies in the 2 hour queue for the Smiler!

we have just spent the bank holiday weekend at Beaver Hall and enjoyed our stay...we had a warm welcome from Dave and all the staff who were most helpfull. The site is in a perfect location...weather visiting the rspb reserve just down the road or walking on the moors, apart from the ambulance crew at silly o clock due to one of our group over doing it on the moors we will defiantly be back. exacellant family friendly site.

The caravan site is obviously the poor relation in the complex. The 5 parking slots are in a poor location on a steep gradient in both directions making it almost impossible to site the caravan on a level setting. The caravan parking is on badly maintained gravel, as is the approach road that shakes the caravan contents. The washroom facilities are some way from the caravan park and the one shower and 2 toilets (one not working) shared with the equestrian centre. Most disturbing from a health and safety perspective was the electrified fence, very close to the pathway, that did not have the required warning notices. Given that children were playing close by and it was close to where young children attended waiting for their pony rides it was an accident waiting to happen. We realised the fence was electrified when our dog accidentally, whilst on a lead, brushed against it with the resultant shocking screaming and yelping. We told the management about this danger and lack of health and safety but the response was "our dog touched the fence once but never did it again". Hopefully a child does not have the same experience. Despite the warning of infringement of health and safety regulations notices were still not on the fence when we left 3 days later. On the whole the worst site we have been on and one of the most expensive.
