Green Heart is a delightful place in the depths of rural Somerset run by the wonderful open-hearted Anna and Ed, who really care about the nurturing of people and planet. The space that they have created is perfect for gatherings, classes and meetings if what you are looking for is total peace, natural beauty and closeness to nature. They have provided all that teachers like me need to run groups along with added touches that tune us into honouring of our mystical roots and celebration of the sacred. Thank you Anna and Ed for making this beautiful space available to us all and for sharing this little piece of heaven with us! Dr Rosy Daniel. Director Health Creation

I was one of eight families who booked the whole of Green Heart Space for four nights camping. We paid over £1000 for this and looked to the website and other online reviews for an idea of what the camp site would be like.
Unfortunately, the site is very tired and not well maintained. The compost toilets (two, plus a single Portaloo) desperately need some maintenance (or a longer drop) as the waste was already very high from previous occupants.
The herb garden is neither herbs, nor garden. The amphitheatre houses only wasps nests and overgrown nettles.
The shower is the saving grace of the site. I really enjoyed showering outdoors - the shower is both hot and high enough pressure to get properly clean. However, again, it is tired and overgrown with weeds and nettles (not ideal when you’re wet, naked and trying not to slip over).
The barn becomes as hot as an oven during the day, and doesn’t provide ample shade due to the windows in the roof. It is pleasantly cool first thing in the morning, though. The sofas badly need updating as they are broken and uncomfortable. The children loved the floor cushions - ideal for playing “floor is lava”. I don’t think it has ever been dusted inside.
The stream is entirely dry, so the owner’s suggestion of tying food in waterproof bags and leaving in the running water to stay cool is moot. Fun for children and mountain goats to explore, and does provide the only shade of the site, but quite a sheer drop with haphazard steps.
The swing bench is lovely, but no hammock could be found, much to my son’s dismay.
Finally, THE SITE IS NOT LEVEL. It somehow manages to slope in almost every direction. We were all uncomfortable and rolling in our sleep.
For the price they charge, I think they could improve things here and it could be brilliant. Thankfully the company made our stay great, and we now know what we want (and don’t want) from a camp site.

Wow, what an amazing place and space Green Heart is. The countryside is breathtaking and the views everywhere you walk are outstanding. The facilities are great too - more than enough to feel comfortable, clean and refreshed but not over-engineered. The outdoor pizza oven bakes the best wood fired pizzas I've ever tasted and the fresh, running spring water was a bonus too. I can't wait for an opportunity to go back, walk, relax, unwind and eat pizza again soon!

I just had my birthday gathering here, I was 44 and it was my best birthday ever! Thank you for providing such a beautiful place to be. The surrounding countryside is stunning, we saw deer, hares, rabbits, butterflies and I think a barn owl. I loved walking up Small Down Knoll and seeing the view all the way across the Somerset levels and over to Glastonbury Tor. The facilities were great and the pizza oven cooked the best wood fired pizza too. Ive already booked agin for next year!!

We had a wonderful day at Green Space. There were 7 of us, a group of friends who all have an interest in well-being practices. We relaxed into creativity. The natural environment was very special and provided the perfect space to share our practices and enjoy good food, time around the camp fire and listen to nature. It was easy to find with the instructions, had all that we needed. X

Members of Frome Writers' Collective and Frome Art Society spent a lovely, creative day together in this relaxed and tranquil setting. There was a large field, a well-equipped barn, great hill views - and we even had sunshine!

The Green Heart is a very special venue, I held a Womb Connection Workshop here recently and it was the idea location. Everything that we needed was there, it was clean, easy to find our way around everything and surrounded by glorious nature and birdsong. We will be back!
