Ingledene Beckside Campsite

Liked: This is a super site. It is a small, non-commercial site situated within a ten minute walk from the centre of Pickering. It is surrounded by countryside and farm land. There are the usual facilities on the site so it is suitable for tent users.
It is very informal and the owners are great. (We just arrived and pitched-up where we wanted as the owners were out dog walking) we had paid online so there were no issues and we met the owners on their return. All very relaxed - GREAT just what we wanted to start our few days away. We will certainly be returning. Thank you

Location is great..
Not enough toilets
Not enough water taps especially if you are pitched in No 1 plot
Although I can't blame the site for the state the toilets are left in if there were more toilets I could maybe of found one that wasn't so dirty.
Same with the showers, the concept is to clean up after you have used it, not leaving grass and dirt all over the floor. I'm not sure how you police this but having to use a dirty toilet and shower just isn't good enough!!

Nice little campsite within a ten to fifteen minute walk into the middle of Pickering. Adequate pitches and clean facilities. There is one shower and one disabled shower room, but although the site was busy, we never had to wait. One comment I would make is that the toilet "blocks" each consist of two sit down cubicles (no urinals in the men's) with just one wash basin , which is a bit silly when someone is stood having a wash/teeth cleaning and someone wants to wash their hands after using the loo. Enjoyed our stay (aside from the rowdy campervan owners opening and closing sliding doors at midnight one night and not being considerate to other site users) and would certainly return.

A lovely small and friendly site. Great location, close to the town centre. This is a tranquil site ideal for those wanting a stress free break. No loud music, quiet time 11pm. Everything we wanted in our time away.

Liked: Thé site was easy to find, neat, well organised and welcoming. Toilets were very clean and the pitches level.

Disliked: Although the washroom facilities were spotlessly clean there wasn’t enough of them. Two toilets in the mens toilets and two in the ladies meant that queues formed in the mornings. Also, we could only find one shower for the whole site - maybe there were more somewhere else however. We only stayed one night so didn’t bother to enquire.

Liked: We enjoyed a lovely stay at Ingledene Beckside Campsite. The owners were very friendly and welcomed us onto the site.

We were able to hook up and the facilities were close by.

This is our second stay, timed to enjoy the steam gala weekend on the North York Moors Railway, and it was perfect for this event. The campsite is a pleasant 10-minute walk from the town of Pickering and handy for the station. There are lots of interesting places in the town and good places to eat. We ate in The White Swan, which was excellent.

Would definitely book again for next year.

Excellent facilities for such a small site - more than enough toilets and showers and hot water .
Great location for wandering into Pickering and close enough to cycle to Flamingo land -about 30 min car drive to coast
Want to go back with Grandchildren -who couldn't come cos of Chicken pox :(,
Would have loved to stay more than a couple of nights

Liked: Very friendly welcome, a very nice small site to get away from it all.
Facilities spotless and clean.
Pitches nice and spacious and level.
Only a ten minute walk into Pickering, ideal for visiting the railway.
Would definitely recommend this site.
