Cycle toured through for one night. Grass was a bit long, and the foot path up to the toilet block was a over grown. And there was rather a dodgy stale water smell up there.... But I was camping on the bottom field. Toilets were clean and I loved the brown toilet paper.
Shower was perfect. So that's 5 stars from me.
No wind so quite midge infested. I still question the effectiveness of citronella candles.... But having cycled from Scotland i had a bottle of smidge to keep the pesky wee beasties away so they didn't crawl all over my exposed sweet flesh. Good scenery and the farm woman who runs it is a babe.

Really good campsite right next to a lovely river. Facilities were top notch with plenty of showers and toilets too! Appreciated to focus on sustainability. Lots of flat pitches and it was nice and quiet too, the noise from the road dies down in the evening. It is hard to get to if you are hiking there as you may well need to walk on the road which doesn’t have a footpath and the traffic is fast. Obviously nothing the host can do about this but something to bear in mind - probably better to catch a bus and ask to get off at the campsite. Still 5 star for the campsite.

A very beautiful place. We got a lot of space for our tent. I asked for a seat away from the road. Unfortunately other people were loud after 9pm. They laughed, shouted, slammed doors. Besides, the smell of marijuana lingered all afternoon and evening. I had the impression that it was a festival and not a camping. We were supposed to be 8 nights, after 3 we decided to change the location.

A beautiful little spot for a few days. We pitched up next to the river and enjoyed the site immensely. Toilets and facilities were clean and tidy. The relaxed nature of the site allows for a real break away from the norm. The river is clear and wasn't too deep allowing for our children to play for hours in the hot weather. Some amazing places nearby to visit too. Loads of rivers, lakes and waterfalls as well as mountains and forests. The owner is really chilled and left us to it. Great value for money for a short summer break. Limited phone signal and WiFi which made it better I feel.

We moved from a previous campsite that we did not like at all to this one. Viv managed to fit us in on very short notice so that we could enjoy the rest of our two week holiday, thank you so much to Viv and her daughter for making us very welcome!. This is a lovely family run site with clean amenities and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for us especially when we have quite a few dogs! And two childeren. Thanks again guys will definitely visit again

A lovely campsite. We stayed for 5 nights in a tent with electric. Lots of toilets and 3 private showers including a big disabled/baby change room. Sink/kitchen area with an option to dry your hair for 50p. Toilet rolls frequently stocked up. There was a washing machine but it wasn’t working when we were there. Basic but has what you need. Water always hot for us in showers!
Hosts were friendly and helpful and let us have a look in their little pottery shop on site where we bought some handmade things! As it was September, it wasn’t very busy so we had lots of space and privacy. Lovely river down the bottom with space for campfires. Only downside is that the road is quite loud, so bring earplugs if in a tent. Any shops are a drive away. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful quiet rural campsite. Great location about 6 miles from Porthmadog. Facilities are spotless and Rob who helps out is really friendly. Just make sure you slow down enough to make the entrance in which is quite hidden and tight - especially when you arrive in the dark and are towing like I was. Oops.

Idyllic backpacker's dream, owned by lovely people, very helpful. Very off the beaten track and real, human. Beautiful place.
