Excellent campsite with beautiful views, not too crowded or noisey. Also campfires are allowed which was brilliant to be sat around. Location is spot on as well and the ladies that worked there were really nice a helpful. We originally booked one night as that was all that was left on the website but they let us stay an extra night despite being fully booked. We will definitely be coming here soon

Family of 4 camped this weekend to visit llanberis and do some paddleboarding, we arrived a little early however the owners were happy for us to set up early which was great as we'd just driven for 4 hours and it was really warm already at 1015.
Lovely basic campsite, various fields to choose from, yes all quite hilly, we got a flattish spot so we managed ok, we were in the field near the toilet to which you leave the car in the car park, bbq and firepits allowed, wood to buy from reception, sheep wandering around which the kids enjoyed but watch out for poop
Kettle available to use, and charging facilities, fridge and freezer, we kept our milk in there and meat, sink for washing boots, drinking water tap outside the toilet block, **tumble drier and microwave, showers (£1) to use** toilet block had a few spiders but didn't bother us, we knew we were arriving to a basic campsite and suited us for our purpose.
Also you can buy cans of pop, chocolate, milk, water and toiletry essentials in reception

I loved this campsite. Being a first time solo camper (well, with my dog) I was a bit anxious about how everything would pan out. I didn't need to be anxious at all. I felt right at home here. I was super lucky with the weather for 3 of the 5 days and the views from here were just stunning. I didn't get the ladies name that I had the pleasure of speaking with but she really was lovely. I have never been to Wales before either so it really was a whole new experience. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. The loos and showers are clean. Overall, we had a fantastic stay! My dog loved meeting some of the dogs that work and stay nearby so she made some friends and felt right at home too. I liked that we could pick our own pitch and I could have my car next to me. I also liked there was a separate field for tents without their cars. For a 'back to basics' camp site, it really had everything we could need and I won't stop singing it's praises. Thank you for making my first solo camp so straightforward and giving me the confidence to do it again. I can only hope other campsites are as welcoming as this one.

The good.
We could see Snowdon from the tent & there is a short walk into Llanberis. There is a very pretty stream and waterfalls next to one of the fields.

The situation.
There are no flat pitches, ( or very few), from the bottom field it's a 6 minute walk to the loo.

The bad.
There are 4 loos for all 5 fields of campers. The loos are not kid friendly, kids can't reach the taps or soap and there is no stool provided. This could be fixed for just a few quid.

There is a shocking lack of hooks. It's a camp site in the mountains, the floor and every surface is wet. But there are no hooks by the sinks for coats or towels, and no hooks in the loos (men's). Whilst there are a few in the shower, nothing like enough. This is really annoying, as again a few bob and a half hour with a drill would sort it.

Lots of space on the main camping field and 2 other fields with vehicular access for camper vans.
Site was fairly basic with 2 toilets and 2 showers for the gents and I would assume the same for the ladies.
There was a pot wash and a boot wash
2 fridges and a freezer for use
A kettle and a microwave, we used the kettle to save having a 2nd stove going.
We would like to see a cooking shed on the main field so if it was raining heavily then you could cook under cover, we've seen these on a few other sites.
You could purchase logs from the site reception and have a small campfire going, which we did.
Price was very fair.

Disappointing camp site. Dirty facilities and need to pay extra for everything (hot shower and even use of microwave). View is nice but i could have wild camped, as there is no added value to be on a campsite here!

Very laid back atmosphere here, great view of the lake and slate mine opposite the camp site on the middle pitches, it's a very short walk into town.
Strict 11pm quiet time so wouldn't recommend for loud groups, some of the fields are not particularly flat.

Has campfire pits across the site, is on a slope for most of the pitches. Do not allow groups of more than 4 people. Showers cost £1 for 8 minutes, which is not signposted very well, meaning it’s quite easy to miss this when going for a shower. Facilities not very well looked after.
