Liked: Wonderfully friendly owners, really nice.
Choice of two pubs in easy walking distance (one is just over the road).
All pitches look flat and level.
Facilities better than I'm used to - however read all reviews to make sure they tailor with your expectations. Just wish I'd realised they have have kettle before as we were travelling light.

Great for climbers: Near beach and the quarry, but prob wouldn't walk it unless you have to.

For anyone else: Looks like a good car free option if you're happy with a half hour walk to beach.

Disliked: Bit of road noise - but this is obviously your trade off for being near to pubs etc.
It's not crazy, just found I was aware of it at night. The two that had ear plugs in didn't hear a peep.

Liked: The hosts were very friendly and kind. They came to talk to us daily to ensure we have everything we need.
The walk to the beach was only 15 minutes through fields and it is a beautiful coastline. We enjoyed the pub across the field. Toaster and electric kettle were a blessing. Shower was refreshing after a long walk. The pitch was level and we slept well. Great experience feeding the lambs.

Disliked: We do not come with expectations as it is camping and a toilet and shower are a bonus. If you complain about things like this, book into a hotel.

Liked: We stayed at Pool Farm for 4 nights.
After a late arrival (9.15pm) we received a very warm welcome from Glyn and a pick of pitches.
A small family friendly site with basic but clean facilities.
Ideal for our needs with an added extra of a small hut housing electricity for charging phones, kettle and 2 small fridges freezers.
Nothing was too much trouble, and the children even had the chance to feed lambs and collect eggs!!
It was disappointing to read a recent negative review as we had stayed at the same time, but had 2 different experiences.
Yes it is near a road, but there is a whopping great verge and hedge between it and the site.
Nearby to some wonderful beaches and a short drive to others.
This is a good find and we will definitely return.

Liked: The owners were lovely and very welcoming during our entire stay…they were always happy to chat to us and ensure everything was ok. We chose to pitch in the overflow field and it was fantastic…so much space for the children to run around in and really quiet. The children loved bottle feeding the sheep and seeing the farm animals. Despite staying during their busiest weekend, the toilets were always spotless. You can also borrow a fire pit at no extra charge. We had a lovely weekend here.
There was a pub across the road, and the beach wasn’t too far…beautiful sandy beach with lots of rock pools.

Disliked: The shower…it’s ‘different’ however this is being redone…The owners replaced the old shower with an extra flushing toilet and are building a new shower. This didn’t affect our stay though…and in fact our children loved trying it out.

Liked: The site was a lovely small site, very peaceful. It was in a field adjacent to a farm. Very clean with decent toilets. There was access to a fridge, freezer, electrical sockets, (great for charging phones), 2 kettles and a toaster. There were picnic benches and outside seating. Also available if we weren't in a drought, was fire pits. If you fancy a drink there is a lovely country pub and a small essentials shop opposite the site. However if you want fresh eggs you can buy them from the owner of the site.

Close to beaches, country walks, pretty villages and main towns/cities all within half an hour drive or less.

Due to personal circumstances we arrived very late but the owner was very accommodating with meeting us. The owners are absolutely amazing, very helpful and considerate.

If you are visiting this area I recommend you give this lovely site a try.

Disliked: The only thing we weren't keen on was that the shower was outside.

Liked: Gerri and Glyn are friendly hosts and happy to advise plenty about the local area including beaches and pubs to try.

The site is a small simple site, and was quiet when we visited. Toilet and shower facilities are basic, although perfectly sufficient and clean for a few days camping. Unlike some other smaller sites, the hut that offers a fridge, kettle and toaster is welcome when travelling light.

There was some rain during our visit and the field showed no signs of flooding. The car park is next to the pitches and all hard standing.

Despite being nearby a main road (albeit 20mph speed limit) we didn’t find the traffic noise to be any issue at all, and traffic was very light overnight.

The site’s shower was undergoing maintenance during our visit - Gerri offered use of the office shower instead, so this wasn’t an issue for us.

Overall, a lovely basic sight that we would look forward to staying at again.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful, we got to feed the lambs and loved meeting all the dogs. Beautiful basic and small farm campsite. Fab for relaxing in after a hard day at the beach.

Disliked: They were having work done to the toilets and shower area but offered us use of another shower.

Liked: Loved the friendly owners and the lamb bottle feeding, and gift of a box of eggs at the end. Didn't find the road annoying as it was quiet at night. Loved the short walk through fields and a wood to the beach. Loved the offer of use of their tumble dryer when it rained. Enjoyed the new smart flush loos and phone charging possibilities too. Would definitely stay again.

Disliked: The lack of shower, but understood it was due to them being in the middle of building a new one, and saw progress while we were there, wouldn't be surprised if it was back working again this week.
