Nice and quiet place for camping. Burning open fire and access to wood. A pig on a spit? Why not and this is it. During the day you visit the surroundings and later relax with beautiful views in the glow of a bonfire and a bottle of beer and baked food ... the air is absolutely clean, free of the stink of the city or the sea rot. It is nice cheap and there is nothing to discredit as the rest of the writers here who have forgotten what a camping is.

Liked: Beautiful spot with a pitch up above others so we had some privacy, the place is a sun trap, there was a fresh water tap, flushing toilets in decent condition, great location for walking. Several pubs you can walk to, and a bus stop really close on the main road!

Disliked: A fire pit at the top pitch would be great. Pitches in main field too close for our liking but at least it isn't a car park style set up. Toilets should be cleaned regularly as they are shared by many people and lots of people are gross.

Liked: Beautiful location, peace and quiet, close access to some great attractions and wilderness locations.

Disliked: The toilet and shower block was not very clean, and there was mould on the ceilings. The sinks only seemed to run hot water for a couple of minutes in the morning then was cold all day.

Liked: Everything.. amazing pitch, stunning views and clean shower and toilet block. Steve is an awesome guy and very friendly and welcoming. Myself and the dog stayed two nights and wish I could've stayed longer. Good if you want a base camp for the amazing walks that in the area. Can't wait to return!!

Liked: The host - Steve. The stunning location. The other friendly campers. Cleanliness of facilities. Small site.

Disliked: Some may say that it is too basic - but we love this aspect and for the price, it was spot on. The price of wood for the fires was high however.

Liked: An amazing location with a short walk to a great pub (and micro zoo), a gorgeous waterfall or up to the caves. It's also not far to drive to the Showcaves or find other hidden gems in the area.

The pitches are simple but ideal and take advantage of the great views, the group pitch we were on had a convenient wash basin and was less than a minute walk to the toilet / shower block.

The toilets and showers were clean and perfectly fit for purpose. The water was lovely and the pressure good (this is always my first check, nothing worse than low water pressure).

The hosts were welcoming and made our stay comfortably, they went over maps with us and had great suggestions. Couldn't recommend more.

Disliked: Not a dislike but a suggestion for those visiting, there isn't much shade so I'd recommend packing a gazebo or umbrella.
