Nice campsite for young people with the facilities needed to have a nice stay. The pitches are all alongside the lovely river which is open for camping or other water activities. To reach the site you either approach along a track from the top of one side of the valley and come straight down onto the site or you take one on the other side of the valley and proceed to take a wooden footbridge over the river (feels daunting but is safe for 6 people at a time). This bridge is also used to cross the river for exploring. It is useful to know that there is no mobile connectivity at all in the valley, but you might be able to get some away from the site

Beautiful walk rain or shine. You can take the easier way up the lane to get back to the campsites, cross the river and visit the pubs. The Royal Lodge serve the best chips in the world

The bridge dosnt look safe its quiet clearly collapsed at some period in it's time and has been bodged back together, and looking into the water of the river is worrying because everything is covered in a brown slime and not a single fish in sight, its filthy one of the worst river's I've ever seen.

Used to be very nice year's ago but sadly the river pollution is so bad it's not safe to go near it or fishing anymore in it all the fish have died from the raw sewage that gets pumped into the Wye.

Nice little campsite. Sadly due to it being so busy we had to stay quite far away from the rest of the facilities, they were about 15 min walk or 5 min drive. The trek to the facilities was exhaust but nothing could be done due to the business. We had a nice campfire though and luckily the fire drawn away all the bugs since the campsite had a slight bug problem. the trip was pretty enjoyable though so a good review from me!

Incredible location! Right next to some amazing walks, and the river is so close, falling asleep to the sound of running water is great. We even ran into 5 deer in the night when going to the toilet! Really nice warm welcome from the warden too!

Only note for improvement would be that it would've been nice to be able to recycle our food waste on site.

Great place for youths! Perfect for friends, perfect for families, it's a shame dogs aren't allowed, but the area, scenery, services, and location pays off. The site has a toilet block, seating areas, and fire place areas, and they provide wood to campers who pay for the service which is handy! Being located along the river Wye, there is a bridge that crosses over to the other side, where you can take a route to Symonds Yat, where you can go up the valley to the rock, overviewing the region. Because of its geographic region, you can see wild animals around the site, from deers, ducks, and badgers! The prices are reasonable too, ended up paying around 200 for a group of 12 for three nights, and the warden was nice!

Thank you for feeding the Rainbow Gathering With Veg from your Garden. The W.I.S.E.Tribe gathered across the river last year 2020 for one month and you made no money from us yet you let us pick boxes of veg from your Garden. You made us feel safe and was very welcoming and generous thank you so much. What a great place surrounded in caves, the borders of England and Wales you can really feel the History here, for me it was like realising I had found the location of King Arthur's sleeping Army. I could read the land in a military way i could see how the Armies could use caves to flood Symonds Yat with an Army so well protected a very hard place to attack. Thanks again i hope our brothers and sisters were not too greedy and life off grid was ok over wintertime. im sure about 100 of us went away feeling much better and thanks for the historical time we had sharing praying for world peace and learning about nature so many went away to form so many different healing groups it never ends
