Liked: Friendly owner. Lovely natural site. Good view of lake from our pitch. Lots of animals to watch. Peaceful location. Very nice homemade pizzas made by the owner. Nice clean toilet block.

Disliked: Wished there was hot water to wash up with. I didn't want to pay extra to use the dishwashers. One shower had a very feeble flow, but the other one I tried was fine.

Liked: Really friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of space and not too busy. Nice having the fire pit for the evenings, my 12 yr old loved it, and the marshmallows we toasted! And they do great tasting pizza on site - although it would be nice to see a farm house pizza on the menu!
Toilets and showers are clean, warm and decent. They have a communal freezer for ice packs which is great, we took enough for a rotation of ice packs in our cool box which was really helpful. There's a small amount of road noise in the front field but nothing that bothered us and after a short while you don't even notice it.
There are plenty activities local to the site for a 12 yr old and all in all we really enjoyed our stay!

Disliked: Not a dislike, but it would be good to have slightly better washing up facilities. With only 2 of us we didn't have much to wash up and using the dishwashers seemed somewhat excessive and the only sink is quite small and with no hot water available to it. But this is a very minor point, a group of 3 or 4 would have plenty for the dishwashers.

Liked: Staff were friendly and approachable. Highly recommend the fire pit. Good price and a nice touch to the evenings. Had pizza on the first and last night. Both times were delicious and a nice change to bbq. Beautiful
Woodland and surrounding area. Although we did not fish the staff and locals seemed very helpful

Liked: All staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely site with fishery which the children loved experiencing for the first time. They were kindly given a rod to try first, loved so so we went and bought a rod from the local town. We enjoyed fresh stone cooked pizza on our first night with a nice cold pint. Loved all the animals there. Close to plenty of activities for all. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Liked: A lovely site, nice level, grass pitches, beautiful old oak trees and rescue animals to visit. Plenty of space and not crammed in on top of each other.
Clean facilities in good condition. Only four toilets/showers in ladies area so could get crowded in summer months I imagine. But no problem with our stay at all. A dishwasher! Site naturally water sourced and keen to minimise environmental impact which was lovely. Staff friendly and chatty. Coffee and snack facilities. Small children’s play area and small fishing lake. Access to woodland walks directly from the site. Right on the Monmouthshire boarder. A lovely weekend getaway, a fab little find!

Disliked: We had our dog with us as it’s a dog friendly site, but no specific dog poo bins. Plenty of other bins though.

Liked: Lovely location, facilities well maintained and cleaned regularly throughout the day. Staff welcoming and friendly. Lots of space and peaceful setting.

Disliked: Nothing really - the Pitch-up description of wifi would be better described as access to wifi at site reception. Not a problem to us but might be if people are relying on this.

Liked: What a fantastic find.
A beautiful location with several ponds and one teaming with fish.
A warm welcome and the animals are a treat (to see, not eat).
Ducks, chickens, horses and a tiny cute pony, donkey (he/she acts like a cockerel to make you aware that dawn has arrived) and Alpaca's.
Home made Pizza looks fab and is very well priced.
Open all year and I can't wait to go back.
The staff are superb! Thanks all, see you soon!

Disliked: The Welsh weather. But the good news is, one side of the field is in England, the other in Wales!

Liked: The setup of the whole site is very easy to navigate. There is always a warm welcome from Jake and it is easy to pitch up your tent and just get on. The site is clean and we were able to start the fire, with a little help, quite easily. The onsite shop is convenient and a happy place to get a warm drink or a cold beer. The shower facilities are first class, clean and most importantly warm. Overall an absolutely wonderful way to see in the New Year. I have been recommending this place to everyone that I know. Love it!

Disliked: Having to leave after such a wonderful stay.
