Brilliant little basic campsite. Taking it back to basics with just a field, a fire, portaloo and a tap for water

Fabulous views, beautifully kept farm in touch with nature.

Don't expect fancy facilities this is for independent campers who understand how or want to learn how to live outside

Take your rubbish away with you.

Very helpful owner. Greeted me personally and explained all the local landmarks and how to access them (I am disabled)

Definitely recommend this site.
All welcome here with a friendly face.

Just got back from my 3rd camping trip at Vernon's Camping Field, and will definitely be back before the summer is out. The location is gorgeous, easy to get to from Tonbridge or Tunbridge Wells and for £8 you get a wonderfully peaceful spot and plenty of firewood. Russell is a friendly guy and I'd recommend it as a camping spot to anyone who asks!

Field is pretty lumpy - could be dangerous to trip in for kids running around and dogs. Toilets are chemical not compost.

Very friendly host, who is very accomodating. There is a village that's a bit of walk, but not too far away where you can buy any supplies you need or last minute food or drinks. The site itself is good for a quiet night under the stars or a bonfire party as the land is pretty big allowing you to choose how close you are to the other campers. Family friendly and party friendly.

Me and my family have been coming here for nearly 40 years now. Its a beautiful place to explore. Vernon will always pop in for a chat, he can bring you eggs, bread etc down from the farm fresh, you can also have a wander round his farm if you ask. Can't wait to get back down here.

Vernon's field is always the best. Beautiful scenery over Bilsborough and surrounding areas. Lovely local footpaths and a small woodland to have a trudge through.
