Liked: There is a good distance between pitches so even if one group is loud you aren't affected.
There is a fire pit at every pitch so you can have a nice fire and it has logs around it so you have somewhere to sit.
There are lots of beautiful walks around the farm and the people who work there are lovely and very friendly.

Disliked: The toilet in the woods doesn't have a lock on the door.
The shower block next to the shop doesn't have an area to change that is separate from the toilet and the main door doesn't lock so you have to hope someone doesn't walk in on you.

Liked: Lovely, spacious pitch in the beautiful woodland. The kids loved the basketball area. We all enjoyed having a campfire and the wood sold is a very reasonable price. Lovely owners and a very peaceful site during the week when we stayed. Lovely hot showers. We have stayed here twice now and will definetely be back.

Disliked: A lock is needed on the woodland toilet. More clear labelling of recycling bins. It could be a bit expensive if you are a large family as they charge per person. Small things as overall it is a great site.

Liked: Very relaxed with lots of pitching options :- Family, Dog friendly, Secluded woodland, Parties etc. Farm shop is well stock with veg, meat and wood for BBQ. Strawberries were amazing. Facilities maybe basic but more than adequate. Good value for money for just £10!

Staff is very helpful and friendly.

I had no problem with showers. Lots of hot water.

No problem with phone connections - Vodaphone and 3 Mobile.

Abundant wildlife which could wake you up very early in the morning.

Lots of trees to camp in shade but watch out for the dreaded bird poop.

Disliked: None

Liked: Lovely rural and quiet site. Had our choice of pitches and even when more people arrived there were still loads of space between us all. Toilets were exceptionally clean and well placed across the site. Team were super helpful and welcoming. No pressure on time leaving which I think makes a big difference. Very clean throughout.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike. There was a big group in one of the woodland camping areas which played music very late into the night. So I would be hesitant to book a tent pitch especially with kids. But it didn’t disturb us where we were on the main field.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Farm Shop had useful bits in (mainly the basics), and I'd definitely recommend the meat & eggs! Next time, I would leave much of my shopping and get it there. They sell dried and chopped fire wood for those that don't want to collect and chop their own deadwood from the woods. The dried fire wood is less smokey. There are clean plumbed in toilets and hot showers (I didn't try the portaloos that were available around the site) and a drinking water tap to the farm. The woods felt nice and secluded and also provided shelter from rain and sun. Camp fire areas were great and came with a picnic bench. The playing field had goal posts where the children (&us adults) congregated for a kick-about. Loved the farm and woodland vibes. Kids loved it and explored the areas. If the woods are not your thing, they also have a couple of fields to pitch up on. If you want glamping, please look elsewhere. No security issues.

Liked: Our stay was just what we wanted, a back to basics experience. We had a small woodland pitch and a proper campfire. After pitching our tent we went off to explore (a map of local walks was provided) and had great fun walking round the farm and the woods. We sat under the stars and roasted marshmallows which my son absolutely loved. The family were very welcoming and helpful even with my son asking at least a 1000 questions about the farm, all were answered with good humour. We saw lots of birds including a nut hatch and a wood pecker, newborn calves and piglets. I definitely think this will be an annual trip!

Liked: Fabulous on-site butcher.
Fire pits allowed (and wood available to buy).
It was very peaceful and restful.
Owners were friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Access into the wooded area for camping could be made easier given than there is no parking near the wooded sites. This could also be made clearer in the information online.
The sites in the woodland could easily be levelled (given the abundance of farm machinery), which would have made camping in the woodland a more attractive option.

Liked: The friendly feel of the farm, owners were and their lovely dog! Just beautiful. I really liked the space between pitches it really did give that wild camping feel. We were shown to our pitch, left with a few instructions and we were good to go. Will definitely return, highly recommend

Disliked: Nithing
