Absolutely stunning site with the loveliest owners. We’ve been back three times and will be back again. The perfect ‘semi wild’ camping experience with big open spaces, a river running through, proper open fires and a compost toilet and shower that’s always kept clean. Can’t recommend enough!

Absolutely loved our stay. Great spot for those wanting to really escape into the countryside. The site was well equipped with warm showers and compost toilets. Both Steve and Carly were great hosts and really welcomed us. Especially their little dog Max. We had a great spot, with plenty of space for the camper, tent and hammock. Having a little fire pit in our pitch made for a perfect end to our holiday.

We came because of the great reviews and it didn't disappoint. Carly and Steve are great hosts and will go out of their way to help. Our loo and shower ran out of water and on letting Steve know, he came and sorted it straight away. They have a great place here and there is solitude in spades, while you still have some of the comforts of home. My mate isn't a camper and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The camp fire certainly helped. Thanks.

Had only 2 nights camping wish could of had more time there. beautiful location incredible views. Brilliant walking sites. Very open lots of space. Perfect for our dog. The couple who own the land where Very nice and welcoming. Looking forward to going back soon.

Great place to camp! We got a lovely private area. The dogs loved it! Definitely buy the logs. We'll worth it! Kept us warm all evening sitting out. Shame the weather wasn't on our side. But still a lovely place to stay. Thanks to the owners!

Gorgeous place, peace and tranquility. Bonus of a shower and composte loo. Definitely going back again, even the constant rain didnt spoil our fun

The best camping experience I could have asked for! Lovely clean facilities and hot shower!! Really nice to feel so refreshed after camping! Steve was so friendly and helpful!
The pitch was fantastic, so secluded but also close to amenities. The sound of the stream in the background and complete quiet from traffic and other people etc was the exact escape I wanted.
My partner and I will definitely be back!

What a place! So lucky to find such a tranquil escape in a superb location with scenic walks watching red kites. We stayed in the Shepherd's Hut which was idyllic - best night's sleep in a while. Carly and Steve are lovely and have obviously paid a lot of attention to detail to welcome guests - from luxury toiletries to fresh-baked bread delivered to the door in the morning - they've thought of everything. Our only regret was that we only booked for 1 night, next time it'll be longer.
