Went in with a problem, which he said he'd solved (and subsequently charged me for) later that week I had the same problem. When I called, the attitude was defensive and he said it couldn't be the same problem, as he had solved that so it must be a different one - it needed a new cat. When I questioned him he laughed and said 'it won't make it any less painful' and the work had to be done.

Since found another mechanic who has solved the problem - and it wasn't the cat! Thank god I went for a second opinion, as it could have been a very expensive exercise!
