Dunelm Car Sales Ltd

After reading the reviews for this garage I was little concerned about going to look for a first car for my son. However 2 weeks off the forecourt and my son is absolutely delighted with his purchase.
We dealt with Kevin who wasn't your typical pushy car salesman which made the whole process stress free. He did everything he possibly could to meet our needs, like exchanging the puncture repair kit for a spare wheel with Jack, a fantastic paint repair to a few blemishes on the paintwork, etc... This garage has a high turn over of car sales every week, into double figures so when you consider the few negative reviews it gives a little perspective. If you are thinking of a new car then I would definitely consider Dunelm car sales and ask for Kevin.

Viewed a vauxhall corsa and it sounded like a blown exhaust.
We were told all jobs and a service would be done. When we collected the car we were told the exhaust was fine and there was no noise now.
5 months later the exhaust needs a full replacement and have been told it has been bodged up with weld
Would never recommend or buy another car from this company

Bought a Fiat 500 complete with MOT & full service for daughters first learner car. The car broke down when driving from the garage, which in fairness they fixed the fault quickly. However when I checked some noise from the brakes 1 month after purchase (and less than 300 miles driven) the front break pads were bare and in a dangerous condition. There is no way this car was serviced or MOT'd correctly and should not have been sold in this condition to someone they knew was a young inexperienced driver. I replaced the brakes myself for £15 and will get it serviced again elsewhere.

Bought a Fiat 500 in January Kevin was brilliant no pressure at all and just left us on our own to look.
The car was immaculate and delivered promptly i had just received my license back after 20 years due to a medical condition so this car was perfect with very low mileage. Only negative is his boss, he needs to brush up on his telephone technique as he sounds extremely miserable . Well done and thank you fully deserved

Absolutely do not recommend this place at all. Paid a £100 deposit for a car, I was told the deposit is refundable if I don’t buy the car. If they told me it was not refundable I would have never paid them. Anyway, gave them the deposit, but didn’t end up buying the car. Asked for the deposit back, and the boss Colin is refusing to give it back. I explained, it’s £100 it doesn’t just grow on trees, I’m a single mother, I apologised many times for not buying the car (explained that I did not receive a loan from the bank) and they are ignoring every single email I send them. Whenever I try calling, I’m always told the boss will call me back, and I’ve never had a call back from him. I now had to get a lawyer, who sent them a letter over 2 weeks ago, and still not heard anything so means they are still refusing to pay me back MY money. So I guess I will see them in court!🙂 disgusting place, the way they treat customers is absolutely vile. Avoid this place at all cost! They hardly sell any cars, and that tells you a lot about their business doesn’t it?!

These people are will try always to get out paying when they have sold you a duff car they can't even send your log book away so it comes back in the right name so your car ends up having a extra keeper on the paperwork it had taken 6 week's to come back in the wrong name I sent it away came back in less than two weeks air conditioning not working door speaker not working roof coverings for glass roof keeps jumping out tracks they had the car 4 days said it was fixed but not please don't feel with these people if you want a good car

I purchased my car from here 8 years ago and Kevin has looked after it since. Purchased life time warranty and never had any issues when it needed to be repaired under warranty. Does my annual service also. Great guy and mechanic and a no pressure sales man. My car has never let me down which is very important to me as a female older driver. My son purchased his car from Kevin also and was given a fair part ex price also. I highly recommend and planning to buy a 3rd car in the next few months.

Bunch of crooks with empty promises. Avoid at all costs and buy from a more reputable dealer. Debt collection now in action to collect money owed from a warranty issue, which Dunlem advised to get done directly from Landrover, whilst the car was in warranty with Dunelm. They now refuse to pay the invoice after previously agreeing it at least 10 times....?
