What a bunch of time wasters, drove down to see a car, phoned before I left, saw the car, checked the paper work, but they then refused to let me test drive on the basis I had other cars to see, actually told me go and test drive someone else's 116i, and then buy theirs, wasted an hour of my life, who buys a used car without a test drive?? poor customer service that makes no sense, they lost my business instantly.

Drove down to look at, and probably buy what was (and still is) being advertised as a 'Bargain' and what I thought would be the perfect car for me. Upon arrival I was told that the car had been sold the day before despite it still being advertised online and remaining online for the next week.

I thought it was odd of them to dismiss me so quickly and not ask if I would like to see something else in my price range, but left feeling quite disheartened that my perfect car had found a home elsewhere.

A week later I was absolutely furious to see that my dream car was being advertised again, this time with a brand new MOT and a price about £500 out of my budget!
I can't begin to say how disappointed I am that they lied to my face about selling the car.

I will never consider buying a car from them again, and I hope that my beautiful dream car rots a big fat hole in their money grabbing pockets.

Appalling ...Avoid at all costs.
Here's my story....
Bought a car with the promise of a 3 month warranty. As I lived in Swindon I was told not to worry, any warranty work can be done locally with the invoice being paid buy them... Total lie.
I had to return the car 3 times a round trip of 90 miles each time
On getting the car home I opened the bonnet and noticed oil sprayed over the engine and metalwork so i contacted Autoshine. We're busy this week can you call me Monday and I'll arrange to get it looked at (That was a full week away but ok) Phoned Monday, Can you phone back Wednesday we're busy... So I phoned back Wednesday. Drop the car off Friday we'll get a garage to take a look.
It took 5 days for them just to look at the car and reported no oil leak..Although I think they never delivered it to the garage for 4 days...That's funny I thought cos there's loads of oil. I picked it up and sure enough, loads of oil... I have no idea how they couldn't see it... I showed the owner of Autoshine who said take it away and bring it back in a week for their normal garage to have a look at it....so trip number two to Bristol.... the second garage identified a leak immediately and set about repairing it...a hose attached to the turbo had a small split...
On the day I purchased the car I also noticed the electric parking brake wasn't working as we couldn't get it to release and it seemed loose...the owner said nothing to worry about he'd pushed it back in.... after a few days of the brake not releasing we got in touch...bring it back they said...trip number two. The handbrake housing needed to be replaced.
At the same time I pointed out a heavily perished seal around the door, the first time it rained it let the water in....buy a new one he said and we'll reimburse you....second lie...never saw a penny and still haven't.
While away in France I emailed to say there was a rattle coming from the engine, no reply...so I phoned. Bring it in when you're back in the UK...trip number 3... The garage looked at it and told me it needed a new dual mass fly wheel....at a cost of £800.... I phoned the owner and explained...his first reaction was to turn aggressive...he told me how good they'd been sorting out previous problems and that his goodwill had run out....Good will...??? and that it didn't matter because it was outside warranty...So i pointed out i'd let them know some time ago ...his reply wear and tear so not covered....and he refused to do anymore...
SADLY that's not the end of the story...3000 miles of owning the car I had to replace the two front tyres... the fitter called me out to show me the brake discs....they weren't low they had worn away and I mean no shiney steel left......he said to drive away would be suicide.... they were dangerous.

So my opinion. One of the worst businesses ive ever dealt with and you'd be mad too buy a car from them....their warranty stands for nothing, they dont stick to promises, the owner can turn aggressive and their cars are dangerous.

Do not waste your time , unscrupulous dealership with no professional understanding of customer service and with no interest in maintaining any kind of positive reputation and do not keep their gentleman's handshake. READ ALL OF IT ESPECIALLY LAST PARAGRAPH.

On a Friday I visted Autoshine to look at a 3Dr red.Fiat punto I was interested in of which was priced at
£2 195 , we (me and Chris, owners dad) discussed about the car and was ok with the framework ( needed tweaking , bonnet issue and tightening the guard for the fuel tank, which chris said "we could get that fixed for you") and very happy with the interior of the car. We both came to a conclusion that I was interested in the car , and the price was still at £2,195 ,but I would need to see the car outside of the showroom to see how it faired in daylight , which was agreed , regarding me ringing a day before visiting which was fine.

I called the next day (on a Saturday , price changed to £1995) to check if it was still in stock and if it was still ok to look at the car outside the showroom, I spoke with Richard the owner ( I believe ) and he said it wouldn't be a problem regarding I called on the day i would visit ( Monday ) and I was ok with that.

This is the day the stars shone through the curtains, it was Monday and I called at 1pm to check up again , Richard answered the phone and I mentioned the car to which he replied stating that two other people were interested in the car and they were offering £2500 ....??????? , he went on to say it was still fine to pull the cars out to look at my one I was interested in and saying he would honour the price, of the day I called him which was on a Saturday and was priced at £1995. and I stated to him I would come round at 5 pm , he also said he would ring me later to confirm if the car was sold so I wouldn't waste my time going over there. of which he did not and I then later called at 3 40 pm and spoke to someone else I have not yet spoken to , i called to say if it was ok to come round to look at the car outside the showroom and the reply was "shouldn't be a problem" , end of phone call.

I then had a phone call 10 minutes later (from the same person) saying It wouldnt be possible to get the cars out as he "thinks that no one is in the dealership that could do it" , I then said could you please find out if they are .... 'LEAVES PHONE ON' .. "Someone here wants to look at the red Fiat punto outside of the showroom but i said your'e not.in" Chris/Richard replies "I don't have enough time to get the cars out now and the car is on for £2 500 anyway" , I then get a response back from the person on the phone saying "nobody is in at the moment so you cannot come and see the car outside. and then I confront him saying I overheard the conversation, to which I get a reply saying he was an engineer and was not related to the business?????.
So I had to turn back from my journey because of this unprofessional, immature company.
Don't waste your time folks!!!....

bought peugeot 3008 in november but car had faults. Paid for my own diagnostic check which showed faulty accelerator pedal & dpf filter blocked. Autoshine told me they would ring me with a date to book it into their garage to fix. No call received and my calls / emails not answered. My advice is buy a car elewhere. They also trade as richwinfordcars on ebay and winford country cars on autotrader

I got a fiesta from them a while back, the service was very poor, the car had an old battery that I had to replace on the second day, the milage was not what it was advertised, they promissed to change a tyre before I came to pick it up and they didn't. I would never go back and I would never trust a word they say.

Wish I had seen these reviews before i bought my car from Autoshine Motors, they are a total sham 'dealer'. PLEASE MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH AUTOTRADER IF YOU HAVE HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE TO MINE...

Found them on Autotrader. Should have been suspicious at first when they gave me a receipt for £200 less than I paid for it. I queried it at the time when they delivered the car and they said it was a mistake and they would send me an updated receipt in the post but never received anything.

Had car just under 1 month before it started shaking severely when driving. The engine warning light started flashing indicating serious engine problems. I took it to a local garage who diagnosed about 6 different problems with the engine. This included fuel misfiring, faulty flap return spring on the throttle, break sensor faulty, and destructive cyliner misfire on cylinders 3 and 4. Since the car came with a 3 month warranty for engine and gear box I assumed this would be covered. Be warned, this is something they write on receipts but have no intention of honouring.

The website and phone number for this company do not work, only managed to get hold of them via another ad they had listed on Autotrader which had a mobile number. Tried contacting them numerous times, at first i was told that the warranty only covered faults within 28 days. I produced the document they gave me that said 3 months and they begrudgingly agreed to look at it. They kept the car for over a week before they let me collect it again and as soon as i drove it home the light started flashing again and the whole car was shaking. When I spoke to them they said they had just dried out the spark plugs and put them back (they didn't even swap them for new ones just replaced them after they had been dried off). I asked about the series of other issues that had been flagged by the garage and they said it was nothing to do with them.

The engine warning light is still flashing and the car is shaking like crazy when i try and drive it. I have now lodged a formal complaint with autotrader and also contacted consumer advice for help. If you have problems with this company (which i'm sure you will) please DO REPORT THEM FORMALLY. The more people who lodge complaints, the more seriously Autotrader will take it and hopefully they will be banned from scamming more unsuspecting customers.

Only sells for a quick buck!

Bought a car from rich @ Autoshine motors - warning signs were initially flagged when I asked for a test drive and
A) he refused to come with me
B) said I could only drive round the block as the car was running on almost 0 petrol!

I took the chance and drove the car home - noticing the steering wheel being completely off centre as I drove back
Upon driving the car a few times it began to overheat each journey I drove it on! turns out it had not a DROP of oil left in the engine when he sold it me! Rang him & he was very aggressive when trying to give it back. In addition to this, the back breaks were almost completely seized - taking it to the garage for a service cost me over £300 extra on top of what I'd paid rich for it!

Don't go to this dealer if you can afford not to - completely dodgey & not worth the risk.

TL;dr no oil, no petrol & brakes that were nearly completely worn through!

Update: to top it off I now have a flat tyre! It's only been a month since I bought the vehicle
