If I could leave zero stars then I would, I would never return back to this company based on the experience me and my partner had at the weekend. We saw a car on Auto Trader which this company was selling so we decided we would go down, We were not allowed to go for a test drive unless we knew for sure we were going to buy it, well that the whole point of a test drive isn't it. My partner has never drove a 4x4 so she wanted to try it out obviously before we bought it so she knew if she liked it or not! Then after asking what insurance group was we got told we were doing everything wrong! I explained I could get insured on just about any car as I owned a 3 series BMW 330 so this smaller engine would be no trouble for me to insure and I was just asking as I wanted to know. The aggressive owner also shouted in the direction of my 2 children because they were getting too close to his cars which I would have never expected or wanted from a total stranger. My partner then proceeded to say that she didn't like his attitude and we would be leaving and NEVER returning, the response was that he agreed that was the right thing to do and that he did not want to sell us any cars. I admit throughout my experience of buying cars a good chunk of them can be like this however this idiot has excelled himself. DO NOT VISIT ANCHORPOINT LTD AS ALL YOU WILL COME AWAY WITH WILL BE ANNOYANCE AND WASTED TIME

Terrible experiance. We drove an hour to view a car for another member of my family with every intention of doing a deal if the car was ok. When we arrived the owner immediately had 3 other 'buyers' phone him while we looked a the car(oldest trick in the dodgy car salesman book). We'd spent 2 mins looking at it, at which point he asked us if the price was ok. Our reply was we don't know until we have a drive. We were told he has 3 other buyers & does not want to get the car dirty so we could not drive it. I thanked him & walked away, at which point he became aggressive, rude & abusive. This 'gentleman' clearly has a massive attiude probelm if he treats all his customers with such contempt. Please avoid this business & go somwhere else, plenty more cars & garages out there.

From a sales perspective the process from enquiry through to transaction was excellent. Rob was extremely professional, which for someone buying a used car for the first time was reassuring. The car was a fantastic example as described, and Rob welcomed an inspection from a friend of mine in the trade which put my mind at ease. All the relevant paperwork was present and correct, nothing was too much trouble. Based on my experience so far I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Anchorpoint, and hope to use his services in future.

Have recently bought a van from Rob and so far so good. The vehicle has been used "in anger" without issue.
We can't fault the service provided, even down to Rob delivering the vehicle for us.
A totally pleasant experience.

i went to buy a zafira vxr which looked really nice on the website so i phoned them up and asked a few questions my main one being is there any cracks or scratches i should know about before i come look at it as it was over 1 hour away, which he replied NO its absolutely fine. so then i went up and straight away i noticed the wheels were all scuffed and bubbly, the body paint was bubbling, loads of chunks of paint missing and scratches and also a big crack on the front and back bumper which he tried to claim he has never seen before. The second i mentioned the test drive he said well i dont like to let people test drive if they aren't going to buy the car which he said rudely. which i still managed to drive it just about and when driving it there was a burning smell coming through the vents which we just told him we are after a bigger car because we are having twins.
when i got back i said i dont want it because its overpriced and can see a lot of work needing done to it which is when he got aggressive and raised his voice tring to be-little me saying why did you test drive it then because now i have to valet the car, which my reply was well you wasted my time by false advertising the vehicle and making me drive an hour out the way. to top it off he tried to accuse me of stealing the car keys lol which he took in the office.

HAVE A NICE TIME RE-VALETING YOUR CAR HAHAHA

Really don't understand what all negatives reviews are about bought a car from Rob really nice guy pleasure to deal with and a fantastic buy sorted any issues out I have had aswell

I would recommend this guy to anyone . Kind professional and helpful. Rob gave me a fair price for my car and I drove away in my dream car. Thank you and see you when I upgrade

Just bought another car from Rob, and as always, the experience was excellent. He gives you the time to look around the car, allows you a test drive and is genuinely interested in giving you the best experience. Recommended A1.
