I visited on 15/03/2022 i viewed and test drove a jeep cherokee, i decided i would purchase it and part exchanged a vauxhall mokka. I drove away happy. It soon transpired that the heater was not working. Quick call to the dealership and booked it in for the week after. Job done. Except it was never really fixed, it remained tepid at best. I was told it had a blocked heater matrix but they had sorted it. They did not. After a couple of weeks driving it and "getting used to it" i discovered a problem with the gear box, it was constantly jumping out of first, at junctions etc, and became increasingly difficult to to select reverse. I had lost confidence in the vehicle, i do a lot of miles for my social care occupation and need a reliable car. I called the dealership and asked about the possibility of a straight swap for a skoda fabia they had in stock. The skoda was a fair bit cheaper than what i'd paid (in good faith) for the jeep. I was advised to come down while they looked at the jeep and we could test drive the skoda. They had the jeep in the workshop no more than ten minutes and announced there was "no fault" and that "i must appreciate its a big vehicle and the clutch is heavier than a normal car and that the gearbox oil/fluid takes a while to start working effectively"??? The upshot weas that i had to pay more money for the skoda, despite, as mentioned, being a few hundred quid cheaper than id paid for the jeep, Well done fields. Now if you could kindly pull up my trousers after pulling them down next time.

The best in the business unbelievably helpful just just couldn't do enough for me they even gave me a courtesy car just for an hour so I could take the children to Stourport by the river not many people would do that can't recommend and this company enough the staff was fantastic highly recommend and more. Thank you for everything you've done for us today kind regards Mr Daniels

Absolutely brilliant the people who are working here definitely go out of their way for you my car was going to be ready in one hour I had my wife and children with me out of kindness the man gave me a car off the garage to use go and take the children down by the river he said unbelievable I wouldn't think anyone else would have done this. Can't recommend them enough thank you once again guys.

I have used Fields for over a decade now. They are always polite, helpful and go the extra mile. Two examples : several years ago I had a shogun with a dodgy flywheel. Mr Field came for a drive with me, diagnosed the problem and discussed replacement costs offering genuine dealer parts or cheaper alternative. He was quite open about the pros and cons and happy to fit either. No ‘heavy sales pitch’ and gave me nearly half an hour of his time and advice. Second example: Dodgy key fob - wouldn’t lock the car without alarming. Again Mr Field came out to the car, explained would do his best to get it working but if it didn’t work I would have to prepay for a replacement as the codes are unique to the manufacturer and have to be specially ordered. (about £150 up front!). As it happened, again he spent some 20 minutes doing some clever stuff changed the battery and my car was back in business. I asked how much for the bill? £3 for the battery. That was it! Then and there decided I would buy the next car from them - which I did about 2 years later.

Brilliant service from the lady on the till when I walked in with diesel dripping from my hands! Scrupulously clean wash basin facilities - a real pleasure. It's so important to support our rural garages!

Absolute brilliant service start to finish when we were buying our new (used) car from Fields Dunley. Tim was a pleasure to deal with, always on hand to answer questions and showed great patience as we decided whether to go with their car or one from a different garage. There was no pushy sales approach, which we really appreciated, and it was a friendly and painless process throughout. Could not recommend any more highly.

I found a replacement vehicle via the website and was immediately impressed by how professional and courteous the staff were in dealing with my enquiries. They held the car for me and when I arrived as arranged all of the paperwork was ready and the process was completed very quickly and professionally. I have had the car for several months now and they have been good to their word everything works as promised and the car is of excellent quality. I will definitely use them when I next upgrade.

Today we picked up our Subaru All New Outback Field 🎉

An amazing car that could sell itself BUT we didn’t even know it existed until we visited Fields to look at a different car.

We quickly realised we didn’t like the other car, it didn’t suit our needs after the Fields guys facilitated a test drive on the very first visit. We thought we had more car hunting to do.

But the guys at Fields were quick to find out what we wanted in a car and point us in the direction of the Subaru range.

They are all knowledgeable and very supportive as we found ourselves spoilt for choice!! Test driving a couple of cars and answering lots of questions.

They helped us realise we could afford a car above our expectations and worked so hard to find us a deal that suited us. We ended up pinching their Demo car! That’s how dedication they were to help us.

They’re all very approachable and genuinely want to find you the car that suits your needs.

Not pushy at all, they want you to be happy and comfortable at every stage. A lovely family business and the atmosphere reflects that.

We’d definitely (and do) recommend Fields to friends and family.
