VERY professional, and very friendly. After speaking with the mechanic (gentleman called Mike I think), I genuinely felt my landrover was in safe hands with them. The lady that I spoke with to book my car in (I think she was one of the owners) was also very knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly polite. The Swansea Vale 4x4 is obviously in demand (as there were loads of 4x4s being serviced/ repaired there when I went down) and I can now see why. I highly recommend them.

It said on my invoice "Road tested"!!
I took my landrover to Swansea vale 4x4 on the back of the good reviews. My gearbox failed and as I didn't want to do it at the side of the road in the rain I called them and they were happy to do the work of replacing it. After the wait for the parts to arrive it only took 2 days to complete and I had the call to come and collect it. I picked it up at closing time and as soon as I got down the road it was apparent that it wast right. There was no power, I couldn't get 3rd gear at all and it was rattling more than usual. I stopped to call them but they had closed. I limped it home and found the pipe from the intercooler to the inlet was disconnected. The gear linkage hadn't been adjusted to allow the gears to select correctly. The transfer box linkage was so far out of adjustment that it wouldn't come out of difflock or into low range, there was a bolt missing from the gearbox crossmember and oil leaking out of the transfer box and new gearbox onto the exhaust. OBVIOUSLY NOT ROAD TESTED.
I called the day after and was asked to bring it back but as it was as good as undriveable and judging by the poor work I sorted it myself. I have spoken to one of the owners since then and have not heard back from him like he said I would. If I'd had a garage to do it in I could have saved myself nearly a grand and done a better job.
Very Disappointed considering the good reviews.

Top guys, top work, masses of knowledge and experience, very good value and the best in Wales as far as landrovers are concerned, don't look no further!.. (update) not sure what it's like after Mike retired.
