Halfords Autocentre Chelmsford (Navigation Road)

I booked my bike in for a service. There was a 7 day wait, but that's OK. They still have my bike. Service still not complete. What's the point of booking if they fail to meet an agreed timescale. Now day 10. I was planning a 20 miler today. It seems not! Can't ring the store, head office only. When they get no answer - its tough. They can't provide any further support or provide the store phone number so you can phone direct. Pretty dam poor.
There is a lesson here.... use a small independent.

Major Service & MOT. Start to finish all as promised and a rare to have such good communication along the way. Very well looked after and to top it off, it is always nice to see mechanics and front team clearly enjoying what they do! Makes a difference!

Sorted my car out after formular1 in Chelmsford did a “service” on my car and missed a broken coil. Very helpful, friendly and professional

I took my work van hear twice for breaks all round came out with front left binding the second visit engine misfiring and service light on and mot came out with service light on unable to trace misfiring and had bulbs out on number plate after mot

Tyre change and MOT. Work done efficiently and on time. Pressure in all 4 tyres adjusted though only 2 replaced. Were helpful when I had to change the date.

These guys were very busy and struggling with more cars than they had room for - still they got my headlamps fixed and helped me out a little because of the time taken.

If you’re a young female planning on going to a trustworthy mechanic I would avoid at all cost!! I felt very uncomfortable with inappropriate comments from male members of staff as well as completely overcharging me for an MOT

Will not be returning and I suggest any young females to avoid!

I turned up late for my MOT yet the bloke still sorted it out for me.. and had some repairs needed doing and the price was way less than expected. The guy who was on front desk was proper helpful, will make this garage my new local for sure.
