Had a service and MOT here and couldn't be happier. Del at the front of house explained details of my service and the MOT which always helps and not in jargon language.

Young lad who greeted me in the morning was very helpful as well.

Will be bringing other car back for its service next January

Best experience ever, I came for a chip repair and we found 2, the previous owner I had just bought the car from less than 2 weeks prior had done a bad diy job on one of chips, all repaired and hardly visible. Then they fitted the new windscreen wipers I had bought foc, advised me on other bits I needed too. Very curteous, pleasant informative and helpful, they liked my ride, a 4x4 American Ford Expedition.

Satisfied with service, but on return to collect car, noticed large scratch on rear bumper. Halfords had no cameras in their carpark so claimed no responsibility for the incident, despite car being left on Halfords property. We already had a £1000 bill to pay for the service, so we went away with a car worse off than it went in.

Absolutely awful service from someone named Del. From start to finish, he was SO rude. He accused me of not having an appointment and that I was crazy for thinking they had the tyre I needed for my car (even though it was all pre booked?). I had to get my car towed to the garage and his first response to me was ‘what on earth are you doing here?’. Then told me to leave without even checking if I had a booking.

He eventually checked and he was wrong, there was a booking and they did have my tyre. No apology. He then left me standing there and didn’t even acknowledge me. He changed my tyre, threw me the keys and paperwork and that was the end of the experience.

Booked in 24 hours prior for an oil service reasonable price and very quickly sorted for me. The lady at the desk sadly i didn’t catch her name was amazing, friendly and very accommodating. Thank you I will return in the future.

Last year booked for wheel alignment, arrived after taking time off work and was told it wasn't possible to do as not enough time because the computer system always over books.

This year checked before by calling up and they said was fine and so booked and went but this time was told the ramp wasn't actually big enough.
Also only do front wheels not back.

Not sure why I wasn't told before as you have to put the reg in to book and it knows wjat the car is.

I once had an MOT done here too and you're made to pay extra if it doesn't go through and you return.

Over all it's a place geared towards the company or manager doing as it pleases and not the customers time or satisfaction.

Shame because the staff are ok.

Proper garages are better all round.

Appalling customer service. Booked a
full service + MOT, arrived on time to be
told that they had no evidence of my
booking. They proceeded to make rude, patronising remarks to me
about the situation even though it was
an error on their part. They then made it
seem as though they were doing me a
favour by squeezing me in at the end of
the day despite having booked for 0830
in the morning.. My partner has since
booked a service for his car and was
also told by the same male that they had no booking before they later located the booking and again advised he'd try to squeeze him in!? Thought my experience may have been a one off - clearly it is
not. Go elsewhere!

My partner booked a MOT threw this Centre, the car failed on a few points, she was quoted around £1200 for the work to be done, this seemed very very expensive for what was said needed doing, I had a ring around and found a local repeatable mechanic who carried out the work on her car the next day with parts and labour all together he charged her £225…

This Halfords Centre also broke the locking wheel nut attachment for the wheels as they used the gun not hand wrench, we now are left with no way of getting the rest of the locking wheel nuts off.

We was also told the battery failed a drop of test and a new battery was needed at a cost of £146 - There is not a problem with the battery at all. I have been told this is a tactic to sell you a new battery when it is not necessarily required.

Would not recommend at all do your re search lots of good places in local area
