Don’t use this garage, this place is a rip off. They charged me more for bearing repair than actual dealership garage quoted.

Took my Vauxhall Corsa to Motech for a diagnostic of overheating engine

A year ago I had an odd noise coming from my engine and after calling the RAC out the engineer had advised I go to Motech and check it out before the engine potentially got damaged. Since then I have never needed to look for another garage.

Sam and his team are as other reviewers state, straight forward, kind, friendly and most importantly honest. They wont do any unnecessary work on your car, and will consult you every step of the way. My car is almost 17 years old and with that comes a need to replace stuff, and boy am I glad I have Motech around the corner from me.

They are professionals who are well recommended and well known in the area, so with that if often means they are very very busy - you can tell when you see the amount of cars being worked on daily! However, Sam is always courteous, gives you realistic timescales and always sticks to them. As they are busy, its always worth calling to check in if you dont hear from them too - and unlike most garages they do answer their phones without it ringing for 5 minutes!

When compared with online quotes, they aren’t the cheapest, but neither are they expensive - somewhere in between. Inevitably if you pay good people, they do a good job, and that’s Motech for you. They will always tell you the essentials that need doing, and nice to haves and then leave it to you to decide without being pushy.

Knowing these guys have now sorted my car out successfully on multiple occasions gives me no hesitation to recommend them ! Thank you Motech - see you at my next MOT(and I hope not before then!)
