I sent them an email asking for the full report of my inspection upon collection in April 2021 - 13 months later without receiving a reply, and the odd statement being sent through, again with no report, I receive a request for payment within 7 days or legal action will be taken.
The initial charges were initially £1000 for a missed service fee (due to COVID, so out of my control completely) and then upon challenging they decide to reduce to £175 - how? What basis did they use for this?! Just an attempt to try and eek every penny out of customers.
Have also been asked to pay for "door damage" that would likely have not been fixed before the car was sold on.
Yet, they received the car back with 50% less mileage on the clock than anticipated as they car was hardly used for a year - not once did I try ask for a reduction in my mileage levels. They literally have no thoughts for the customer whatsoever and just want to take as much money off people as possible!
Avoid at all costs - its a shame as Evans Halshaw were brilliant throughout!
Thank you Sarah, yes they have and nothing has been resolved. It’s basically my word against yours and that your right and there is nothing I can do about it. I have asked three times now for proof of respray of the car and I’m still awaiting a response. I have also asked for a three way conference call with the guy that collected the car and yourselves which I was told would be looked into but very unlikely and still awaiting an update on this. Not sure why this wouldn’t be possible. I don’t expect there to be a positive outcome after other reviews I have read, but this has taught me a very big lesson and that is to ensure I have my own independent collections report to be carried out at the same time. In all the years I have leased I have never had an issue with handing cars back until now abs this has put me off of leasing a car in future! An invoice of over £1000 to be paid on some items that are made up is dishonest and awful!
I am still awaiting a response of my last four emails so no this has not been resolved as of yet.
