Terrible service and cars are in terrible condition.

Steer clear as they will give you a car below what you have ordered and try flog you off.

Just check the fuel gauge before you accept the vehicle.

Quoted me (in writing) 98 GBP/wk for a car but then charged my card 21 GBP/day AFTER I turned the car back in (when I could do nothing about the charge). Surprisingly, my credit card backed Hertz on this and said I had received the services and the price charged was between me and Hertz. I thought this was very odd because they charged me about 50% more than the written quote. Add to this the fact that the office was closed when I got there to pick up the car (they knew I was coming) and charged me an "extra cleaning fee" (I used to work for a car rental agency--I know what "extra cleaning" looks like and it was not required in this case). I would not recommend Hertz in Barrow to anyone--they quoted me one price and billed me a much higher price after I turned the car back in.

In to a hire van within 20 mins of a phone call...fuss free, great service, brilliant van!
