I've used most of the providers at Stansted because I live locally.
The whole process was faultless with a reasonable deposit and immediate return. I was 'checked in' by Josh, who was polite and professional. I can't remember the young man's name who I returned the vehicle to but again he was brilliant at his job.
Good work guys, I'll be using you again 👍

I had booked directly online with Europcar. When I checked in to collect my car the agent pointed out that I was eligible for a discount because I had travelled with Ryanair. As a result I received an upgrade to a top-of-the-range SUV and added the fully comprehensive insurance. The final payment was less than I had booked for a Fiat 500 with basic insurance. Thanks Europcar.

I read some bad reviews but my experience was pretty good. The staff was friendly and they didn't force me to buy any additional insurance. The car was basic a little bit old and with a small engine but good enough for an holiday trip. I definitely suggest europcar and i will give them my preference for the future.

James is quite possibly one of the best car rental reps I have dealt with in many years of renting cars in the UK. Great service, great cars & great deals. I have used many other providers but it's Europcar for me every time from now on.

Do not book at this station/company. I made a reservation for 3 days with a one way agreement from London Stansted to London City airport. At the counter I asked if I could return the car one or two days earlier, as I wasn't sure if a colleague would join the travel with his own car. The agent didn't know and brought the station manager, Josh Waring, into the conversation. Josh explicitly told me that returning the car wouldn't be an issue and that I would get a full refund of the excess days.

I returned the car in Stansted after less than a day and instead of charging the agreed upon 90 GBP daily charge (refunding 180 GBP for the two excess days and the one way fee)) they just changed the daily rate to 400 GBP for a Corolla (!!!). At the end of the day I paid almost the same amount for having the car 1 day dropping it off at the same location than would have cost keeping the car for 3 days dropping it off somewhere else.

Not only do they lie when answering customer questions, they also blame customers being at fault.

And, please, don't tell me to contact online customer support. I already did and they happily admitted that their station manager was lying and I had to pay the full charges.

Next stop: lawyer.

Do not rate at all. Car had a lot of damage to it which wasn’t listed on the rental agreement.

Complete disregard for the law, safety and safeguarding from the manage on duty when dealing with another family (he said they needed a car seat but then told them it’s ok if they wanted to acquire one in their own time instead but noted there may be a police fine if they got caught with their child out of a car seat as it was a legal requirement).

It was like walking into a playground as both members of staff were very unprofessional especially in front of customers.

Faultless car rental service for me at Europcar Stansted Airport. Helpful, friendly and courteous staff team, smart new fleet, and competitive prices. Josh made the whole process super smooth. Will definitely use again for car rental, and am happy to recommend others reading this to do the same.

absolute robbery and terrible customer service. If there are any problems, you can't ring them, you must email them and they get back to you days later. Myself and three friends of mine arrived at Europcar at Stansted airport with a booking for a car which will cost roughly £260 for 3 days but when we arrived it cost £650. After the 3 days we gave back the car with a full tank, we also cleaned the inside of the car. A week later and europcar emailed us a parking fine, which we sorted after because the hotel made a mistake. We then notified Europcar. It took them 2 weeks to get back by email because you can't ring them ( which is shocking service) they already charged us the fine and want us to get a letter in writing from the hotel that the fine has been squashed. So will do that and will have to wait till they get back to us.
