SIXT Car & Van Hire - Cambridge

I have been using Sixt for a few years now since they opened I have only been going with them. With great customer service and fleet if verticals they are always willing to help. Can't recommend Sixt any more. Personally, I only use Sixt and my treat you with respect and a person. So thank you Sixt for everything.

Great friendly staff in the Queen Edith Bridge branch. Van was perfect. Thank you. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that the Company Sixt are quick enough to take a security deposit. why should it take between 3-10 days to get my deposit back. To me that is just wrong.

Came to pick up a van all the way from peterborough paid for it online nothing was mentioned about having points on licence caught a taxi paid £80 for it to bring me here upon arrival they asked me to provide them with check code and after they said they can’t provide me with vehicle due to having 6 points on my license so I had to pay another £80 to get back to peterborough.
Nothing was mentioned on website spoke to a representative over the phone even they didn’t mention anything about it.
They issued a refund for me which will be in my account within 5 working days but now I can’t go elsewhere and pay to rent a van as these lot have taken the money.
Very rubbish service.
Would not recommend at all.

Had a good experience with SIXT. It was easy to book a van rental online, and the van was in good condition and very roomy, perfect for an intracity move. Returning the keys through their out of business hours drop off box was very convenient. The only knock against the place is that for some random reason, there is a large advertisement sign out on the street that blocks your view of oncoming traffic when trying to exit onto the road.

I was told the vehicle had been damaged during the rental. The damage was old and luckily I had taken a video. Staff need to be a little more diligent to prevent post hire worry.

I have been charged an additional sum of £167 for surplus miles that I 100% did not drive. I emailed customer service when I received the invoice and before the additional money had gone out but I did not hear back and the money was taken.
Pity - the service and car were otherwise good.

Sixt have since got in touch and sorted it out quickly.

Great experience and competitive pricing. I had booked through a comparison website that listed the Sixt location as Cambridge station so was slightly delayed but spoke with Aaron who was very friendly and extremely helpful in explaining different options available and also providing insights into insurance options etc.

Would highly recommend for car rentals in Cambridge!
