Online booking process is easy, but their policy is ridiculous; you still need to call them to confirm availability of van on the day. Defeats the purpose of having online booking at all. 2 stars taken off due to this.
You get a code which you can use to access the parking lot even after-hours, which is really convenient.
Sunday staff didn't really look like they wanted to be there, but I can't really blame them!
Great variety of vehicles for all needs and wallets.
In my opinion the prices are good.
I used the service a few times and will use it again if needed, definitely I will recommend Kendall Cars to family and friends.
Absolutely terrible service, the first and most significant issue was the van itself, it seemed to be fine until you get into a motorway or go up a hill at which point the van quickly decelerates to where you’re driving 40mph on the M25. This added a significant time onto my journey. When I addressed this issue with customer service the first question they asked was whether I knew how to drive or not (strange question having Jsut been given a van…) Because of this inconvenience I asked to either delay the drop off time or gain some compensation and both were denied because their plan was to send out a faulty van for another customer. AVOID!!!!!
Rented a van a two months ago for a period of two days. On picking up the van, it was covered in dents, broken panels and had a chipped windscreen (all noted on the inspection so apparently wasn’t a problem).
Van drove alright for the first day but then it wouldn’t start on the second day. Called out the roadside assistance as stated on the rental documents and informed by RAC to return the van straight to Kendall. I then rang Kendall cars to inform them what had happened and was informed they would need to wait for the report see “who was at fault”.
I’ve since been charged the call out fee with no communication from the branch as to why. Multiple emails and phone calls have gone unanswered. Decided to visit the branch and informed that the van not starting had been put down as a “driver induced fault”…. Complete nonsense. The van being parked on a residential street, and then not starting is somehow my fault?
We’ve since been trying to get my full deposit back and compensation for being given a faulty van. Their multiple promises of “senior management are going to contact you today or tomorrow” have gone by weeks ago and we still haven’t received any further communication or apology….
Do not use Kendall cars if you want your deposit returned and to experience the basics of a good customer experience.
