I had the miss-pleasure of hiring from this National car place in Heathrow. I usually believe in my grandma saying, “If you cant say anything nice, then don’t say anything at all” however.

I arrived at the pick up car point, and though I booked a mid-size SUV, I was offered only a Vauxhall Corsa. In retrospect, I was offered a choice, A white one or a grey one.

I was miss gendered, I corrected the young man not really an issue, except after that it was “Madam after every sentence- even when it was not needed, so being belittled constantly; By the time I had the car, I was ready to leave it and walk to HertZ, Even though I had signed for it. I even sat in the car area for 5min, contemplating that exact action. I was too tired and just wanted to go home.

On Arrival, the person who took my car back, was superb, It restored some of my faith,

To the person who greeted me I would give 1 star, as I cant give negative. For the greeter who checked over the car 5 Stars, who was trying to get me to stay with National. Who knows?!

We had an awesome experience with National. We picked up a car from Luton and dropped back to Heathrow. All the staff we dealt with in person and on the phone have been super helpful and friendly which was a breath of fresh air after some rude staff at other rental companies. The pick up and drop off was so easy. Will definitely use National again and would recommend over other car rental companies in a heartbeat

Very positive experience . Had a Ford Focus for a week excellent. Collected at terminal 2 . Car was ready on arrival.Staff were all excellent .I will certainly use this company again.

I'm a little late in writing this review but I had a wonderful experience renting from National Heathrow a couple of months ago. Particularly with Rilind, who was most accommodating while I looked at several different cars before finally making my decision. His kindness and patience really stood out and for that, I would rent from National again in an instant!

Really happy with the service from Hamish (pick up) and Rilind (return). Friendly, helpful polite and enthusiastic and obviously genuinely enjoying working there (Heathrow Alamo, Enterprise, National). I got the impression it’s a happy, well functioning team.
I had originally hired a manual Ford S-Max but on arrival asked if I could be swapped to an automatic. Hamish sorted me out with a beautiful metallic red model that was perfect for taking the family and all that my eldest needed for her start at uni.
Rilind was amazing too. He said he’d pay for damage to the rear of the car and the paint job. OK he didn’t, I was joking, but he was cheerful, calm and reassuring. And he DID buy me a cereal bar when I first arrived because the vending machine took my money without delivering.
So thank you all!
PS can I have a free car hire next time I come for writing the longest (positive) feedback? 😉

First experience was better than today's, but they were much busier today. Basically a very easy way to rent a car, assisted by friendly, helpful staff.

Customer service was was horrible. They charged me for damages that was already on the vehicle. Hopefully this review will stop someone from renting from them.

BEWARE OF THE "DAMAGE CLAIM" SCAM! Upon return of my vehicle, every piece of the car was inspected for damage. Tyres, wheels, interior - everything. No damage was noted and I signed their ipad and received my emailed final bill. The next day I received an email that a damage / accident report had been filed on my vehicle for tyre damage. This is the same scheme that other people have reported here on google! Take pictures and video of every inch of the car before you rent here, if you choose to do so.
